is there not a way you can hear both the channels at once? the channel you are EQing and the sidechained channel i mean
+Jesse Caplan You could do this by turning up the sidechained channel in the mix, so it comes through the master bus as normal.

I liked the demo of the matching EQ from one track to another via side-chaining and the learning function.  I can't recall seeing it shown like that.  Probably makes guitar amp/tone matching easier for blending an old sound sample into a new track with a new guitar.  Hmm...  ;-)
