@0:40 I got chills at that scene. Charles trusted her enough to make her choice.
I cried with the music at least Hugh Hackman dudit die

Very moving. Power of choice. Reminds me of the nature vs. nurture debate-how people even if they come from the worst backgrounds can still chose to be a better person and make a better life for themselves and others.

I never understood why don't Charles just get into Trask's mind instead of going through all the trouble with Raven. Why don't he just use his telepathy to make Trask change his mind???
omar biagas (3 months ago)
For the same reason he just doesn't just make parents of mutant kids say yes to his school, it isn't his way
lau lau (3 months ago)
because its not the right way.

I'm 49 years old now, but usually feel like I'm about 12 when I'm watching anything Marvel or DC. Suddenly, ...at the end of this video, I was 7 years old and it was three in the morning and I'm on the way with my dad on the way somewhere,...a hunting trip, a fishing trip. It's not the song itself, which I could not have told you the title or artist,...but the sound the night time makes in the wee small hours.

Just passing to say I loved your commentary. That's really cool, and even with 30 this year I can imagine what's like.

Thinking about it, I think Apocalypse would have been better split into 2 films.Days of Future Past worked so well because the true bad guys (the Sentinels) were unbeatable, and slaughtered the X-Men not once but twice, which is something you rarely if ever see in a modern superhero film. (i.e. the good guys losing)They had to change the timeline to get their happy ending. If there'd split 'Apocalypse' into 2 films, Part I could have covered the rise of Apocalypse as the most important mutant, the rise of his 4 horsemen, and perhaps ended with Apocalypse  using Earth's own nuclear arsenal to wipe out civilization as every knew it. (Or at least wipe out the NATO and Soviet capital cities)Part II could have seen the formation of the X-Men in an alternative timeline where they fight to save whats left of man-kind from Apocalypse's super-race of mutants.Instead I think they tried to cram to much into one movie, and just played the age old 'plot armour' and Dues Ex gags at the end when the needed to kill Apocalypse off at the end.Just my thoughts on the matter.
