those stupidly high priced headphones are the type I laugh at most. Care to know what I have plugged into my mp3? Skull candy earbuds, because they were only $12 at office depot. Its no different with the custom knife community. Enough people have said that some $200+ knife is better than the same type you can buy commercially for a quarter of that, just because it was made by some grinder jockey and looks like it belongs on a display stand or in a beauty padgent. Or places like tops who charge $65 for the alrt mini, which anyone with a file, a drill and propane torch could make in 45 minutes. $65 isn't even worth the steel its made from, especially since a piece of .125 x 1 x 18 inch 1095 bar stock will run about $12. Yet, because so many say they're worth it, everyone else thinks nothing else is worth getting. The custom knife market is built on nothing but hype and brilliant marketing. Custom knife fanboys can get fucked for all I care.

Pavlov's dogs didn't salivate when one thing happened. What was it? If you clicked on this to read the rest, congratulations. You have just learned how your attention is easily controlled by creating a mystery. Our focus remains on something until it is resolved. If not resolved, we tend to keep thinking about it. Hence why we stay awake in bed at night, and constantly check our phone or email, or what have you, waiting for that response we just _know_ is coming. So now that we have went through that, and you probably weren't completely focused on it, because you were wondering what the one thing was that prevented Pavlov's dogs from salivating, let's get into what it was: Changing the environment. When conditions were the same, the dogs would salivate. Yet, when the environment had been altered, the bell had no effect. This is because what is salient in our brains becomes the focal point, and takes on more attention and importance. The bell became less important than the new surroundings. So, how can we use this to help us fall asleep better without the distractions of our phone? It's truly as simple as leaving your phone in another room. Just by walking through the door into your bedroom, you are subconsciously changing the focus of your mind, because the entire environment changes. And how can we prevent classical conditioning from advertisements? Set goals. There is a reason goal setting is so powerful for entrepreneurs...and it can be for everyone else as well. By setting goals, and reading them twice daily, first thing when you wake up, and last thing before you go to bed; you are setting in your mind the focus and attention for the entire day, the most important things. And as such, you tend not to be distracted by ads as easily, since they will only distract you from your goals. When you know your goals, and the direction your life is going, anything that isn't a part of that plan becomes irrelevant, and unimportant. You tend not to fall for impulse buying, or persuasive advertising the same. And the things that can help you achieve your goals, become more prevalent in advertising...and those typically aren't bad things to consider purchasing anyways.

Nikolett Király This is his oldest video (I’m on a binge of all of them, lol), so most of them are much better than this in terms of audio quality. No hate or anything, but just in case that turned you off, it’s not an issue in newer vids. I love his content. 😁

is why when we were young we would try everything "NEW" but as the aged populations grow, in this era of trying out the trump world as this is a new simpleton way of trying something new since the old way needed drastic revolutionizing e.g. >1/6 of a great country's population decidedly chose.

i appreciate the video, but you lost me when you said that brand and generic drugs have the exact same composition. That is almost universally not true. Just because Generic drug has the same active ingredient in the dame quantity as Patented, doesn't mean it will be delivered the same way, or that the iner fillers or coatings are as effective as brand. Legally, Generics can vary from Brand in bioavailability (not bioequovalence) by a long margin.

I'm pretty free from advertising. I don't watch TV and I have AdBlocker always on when browsing Internet. And what other people do doesn't affect my choices much. I guess some might call me a sociopath. I don't think it's that bad, but ofc it might be...
drdanger (11 months ago)
Big fan of your channel, the quality of the videos has certainly improved over the last 2 years, this video is well written, but the production quality is crap!
IntarwebUser (1 year ago)
I was with you when you said people are more comfortable in groups, but you're fucking crazy if you think people deliberately pick the longer line at the bank. Nowadays they only have one line for all the tellers, but when there was an option, I'd be damned if I wasn't going to pick whichever line was shortest. No one wants to spend an twenty extra minutes at the bank just standing there.

Mcdonald's, my opinion: Bleargh, sugar, disgusting, smells... Line? Shortest there is. I chose a harder college class because we have _5 people_ in class, and the easier ones have 20-30 per class. Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten rid of my ridiculous beliefs about brand name clothing. Stuck with Victoria's Secret Bras... And I have Samsung (pre S6) phones, because I love the AMOLED screens (I love reading on my phone, and cream text on black in dim light is great). Other than that, um... no stupid metal (why, god, polycarbonate or plastic is so much better), and removable batteries, and being able to open it up myself. Cars? Toyota, proven models. Why? They're genuinely reliable. Headphones? I don't even know any athlete names... and eh. I use the cheapo ones that came with my phone. They're pretty ok, not that I'd even know the difference probably. Skip the brand name and look for alternatives, unless it's for things like cars, in which case do your research and see what lasts (e.g. BMW cars fail a lot and turbocharging is useless and makes reliability over time plummet, so living in Europe it's actually good to get a decent V6 naturally aspirated engine from the US and enjoy the decade of worry free driving).

Sorry, it is impossible to understand your voice, I watched dozens of your videos and the sound is not well put together. First the music in the background is ridiculously distracting and secondly every video seems to have a different volume level, forcing me to adjust my sound output level with every video, this is annoying and time-consuming. Thanks

I never saw the allure of Beats. However Starbucks coffee does do that to me; I have my own espresso maker at home for lattes and what not but I still like to go to Starbucks and pay for the experience rather than just sticking to my coffee at home. For me, I just like the idea of holding that coffee cup in my hand.
If this was the first video I ever watched by this channel, it would have been the last. His voice does sound like he has no interest in saying/reading his script. Luckily, I've watched a couple of dozens of videos already and I know they are awesome!

I thought any accessoir maker (watches, perfumes) were the main culprit of the correlation method? Some cars ads still are about the car. But have you ever seen any perfurme showing its composition?
