so the "big one" skull crawler wiped out Kong's whole family?
And Kong is still growing but in Kong's battle with the big one, there didn't seem to be that much of a size difference between the 2 so now I'm wondering how big were kong's parents? is he gonna outgrow them by a lot to be any kind of match for Godzilla
Only I feel bad for skullcrawlers? It’s not their fault that they born as some always hungry thinks. And I think that skullcrawlers have parents all the childhood. Look, the old skullcrawler is more smart than not old. So they become more smart in time. Creaturs than have this sort of “education” probably are capaceble go nothing when they born and need parents that will help them
Okay... he asked if they won the war (WW2)... and this takes place in the Vietnam War era... so... why would they tell him “which one?” ? That makes no sense? He obviously hasn’t fought in Korea and Vietnam... and they even know he’s been there since 44... so are they not smart enough to know he fought in WW2? Bad writing imo
Kami13 yeah don't think too deep on it man sometimes you just have those conversations that are meaningless but yet kind of have some points in them as well... on the "which one part" I also think that was a sarcastic way of him saying we have had plenty of wars... so they both were just being sarcastic with each other but still getting their questions answered...lol
Kami13 people thought maybe after World War II it would be a chance for peace on the Earth but MORE Wars took place after that... it was a funny or sarcastic way of saying yeah I knew humans can't make peace...
Steppen Wolf 2018 See i actually scrolled down to see if anyone had an issue with that line. Thats an opinion held by people POST ww2.
Cuz of Korea, Mainly Vietnam. And Afghanistan and Iraq. The US was way more isolationist back then. They didnt want ti get involved in either World war, until they had to. The "that makes sense" line really is a view held by baby boomers on. Not ww2 soldiers
1) Marlow never did specify that the Skull Devil (as it is referred to in the art book and novel) killed Kong's parents alone.
2) It wasn't _one_ Skullcrawler that killed Kong's parents, it was a few dozen of them. They specify _that_ in issue #3. http://readcomiconline.to/Comic/Skull-Island-The-Birth-of-Kong
There's a comic run that goes into deeper detail on this story.
Skullcrawlers came up from the vents and attacked the island in great numbers. In a hellish battle all but 2 of the apes were killed, the strongest of them. Kongs parents. He was literally born in battle while his father was torn apart protecting his mother. She put him in a cave and was killed too. It's so badass. Pretty sure it's named Kong Skull Island
1) That's how it is in kaiju movies in general. Since the kaiju, the main characters of the film, can't talk, the human characters has to do the talking for them.
2) At least Marlow's exposition was kept short, sweet and straight to the point rather than dragging on for too long like in all of M. Knight Shyamalan's movies.
