He was very successful in sports in the former Soviet Union. He was a wrestler, and always got 1st or 2nd place in competition — never less. While I grew, I watched his strong personality and success. He always got what he wanted, and people around him loved him and admired him. That image really parked itself in my memory forever!!! He passed away very young, when he was just 36 years old. At that time, I was 14, and I said to myself — no matter what — I will be like him at his best, and I will do everything I can to make him proud of me. Even if he’s not close, I always imagine he watches me somehow, and he is really happy for his daughter. This was always in my thoughts when I was younger, and this is the image I carry every day in my life. His smile. Since those early days, I was always in sport. First gymnastics, from 6 until 10 years old, horse back riding ,ballroom dancing. Additionally, I was involved in equestrian sports. I've been training people for about ten years and I'm happy to say I am the host of the #1 fitness channel on Youtube. I've never competed in body building competitions, but winning a trophy is not what I love. I love helping people transform their bodies and their lives. 2:00 Answer To Question 2: JUST BE ACTIVE... BOTTOM LINE! 2:47 Answer To Question 3: Mental, social and physical state matters. The truth is people judge you based on how you look. That is the way the world works. I'm not a doctor, but through my experience they are all interconnected. 5:30 Answer To Question 4: When you don't use your body, your health declines. Staying active and using your muscles will keep you more healthy. Obesity is a big problem. 6:30 Answer To Question 5: Teenagers tend to spend too much time in the gym, because they don't really know what they are doing. You really only need to spend about 30-45 mins. working out. So I understand how teenagers burn themselves out. It is absolutely okay to workout as a teen though. 8:30 Answer To Question 6: Your heart rate has to be elevated when you are doing physical activity, because it is good for your heart, good for building muscle and good for burning fat. Form and doing exercises properly is incredibly important. 12:45 Answer To Question 7: If you aren't eating the right foods, you don't have the right tools to stay physically active. Eating is a part of a healthy life and it affects you on a day to day basis, social life, and pretty much everything. 15:38 Answer To Question 8: Injury is a part of being physically active. That's life. Exercising is a layer of protection and actually helps you for the rest of your life. I've gotten rid of a ton of sicknesses, because of working out and training. You need structure to build muscle or lose fat, period. 27:07 Answer To Question 10: It is okay if you don't like fitness and that is okay, but everyone is interested in something. People don't like working out, because they don't see results and they start hating working out. The most important thing is to take the steps to working out consistently. Don't worry about buying all the supplements, working out everyday and eating the perfect food. Take the appropriate steps. 36:00 Answer To Question 12: Cardio machines are not the best way to lose fat. I understand, but think about this... say you burn 150 calories in an hour on a treadmill. You burn calories for that hour, but what about the other 23 hours in a day... what are you burning then? Hey guys im going to show yall how to get bigger biceps as a KID or TEENAGER. The first catehory is "pushups". There are 5 we will be doing.... 1. Regular 2. Wide 3. Diamond 4. Army 5. Staggered (use a ball) 2nd category is using dumb bells. Get 3 different weights of dumb bells. 1. Get a weight where you can get about 20-25 reps in. 2. Get a weight where you can get about 10-15 reps in. 3. Get a weight where you can get 5-7 reps in. Im in middle school so i use a 20, 25, and 30 pound dumb bell. WHAT TO EAT ". Eat a healthy breakfast If you exercise in the morning, get up early enough to eat breakfast — that may mean one to two hours before your workout. Most of the energy you got from dinner the previous night is used up by morning, and your blood sugar may be low. If you don't eat, you may feel sluggish or lightheaded when you exercise. If you plan to exercise within an hour after breakfast, eat a lighter breakfast or drink something to raise your blood sugar, such as a sports drink. Emphasize carbohydrates for maximum energy. Good breakfast options include: -Whole-grain cereals or bread If you're not a fan of eating in the morning before you work out, try a sports drink or have a bigger bedtime snack the night before. And remember, if you normally have coffee in the mornings, a cup or two before your workout is probably OK. Just don't try any foods or drinks for the first time before a workout, or you risk an upset stomach. 2. Size matters Be careful not to overdo it when it comes to how much you eat before exercise. The general guideline: Large meals. Eat these at least three to four hours before exercising. Small meals. Eat these two to three hours before exercising. Small snacks. Eat these an hour before exercising. Eating too much before you exercise can leave you feeling sluggish, or worse, with a case of diarrhea or stomach cramps. Eating too little may not give you the energy to keep you feeling strong throughout your workout. 3. Snack well Most people can eat small snacks right before and during exercise. The key is how you feel. Do what works best for you. Snacks eaten soon before exercise probably won't give you added energy, but they can help keep up your blood sugar and prevent distracting hunger pangs. Good snack options include: -Energy bars or drinks -fresh fruit -Yogurt Whole-grain bagel or crackers with peanut butter -Granola Bars A healthy snack is especially important if you plan a workout several hours after a meal." -MAKE SURE YOU DRINK WATER....STAY HYDRATED!!!!

Human Statue: Teenager's Muscles Turn To BONE Due To Rare Condition

Luciana Wulkan, 17, suffers Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) - an extremely rare connective tissue disease which affects just 800 people worldwide. Also known as Stone Man Syndrome, it slowly turns muscles, tendons, ligaments into solid bone, and is currently incurable. She was born with a stiff neck, and began struggling to move her joints as she grew. Now studying for her A-levels, her jaw has also locked and she has lost the use of her right hand after her wrist muscles fused into bone. But while the disease can leave sufferers completely immobilised, she is determined to remain positive, and even does her own make up every day with her left hand. Miss Wulkan said: 'The condition is slowly calcifying my muscles and other soft tissues into bone.' 'It eventually leaves people with very limited movement but I'm not focusing on that, I won't let it control my life.' 'Both of my arms have limited movement so I can't put my arms over my head and my right wrist is also fused. 'But I still manage to do all my make-up myself and I've not allowed the condition to affect my studying.' 'I enjoy being sociable and going shopping and dining out with my friends and family.' FOP is a genetic condition, but can be triggered by episodes of trauma, including knocks and falls, biopsies and surgery. Miss Wulkan's mother, Mrs Di-Falco believes her daughter's condition was triggered when she fell down the stairs and bumped her head. Mrs Di-Falco said: 'For Luciana living with FOP, bumps and falls can result in a flare-up which then often leads to further muscles turning into bone.' 'Both myself and Sandro are so proud of how she has dealt with the condition, it's extremely rare so not many doctors even know much about it.' 'It wasn't until we watched a documentary on TV that we realised Luciana had FOP.' 'Thankfully although the condition causes her muscles to turn into bone it is not painful all the time.' FOP is so rare it affects just 800 people worldwide. Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) is one of the rarest, most disabling genetic conditions known to medicine. It causes bone to form in muscles, tendons, ligaments and other connective tissues. Ridges of extra bone develop across joints, progressively restricting movement and forming a second skeleton that imprisons the body in bone. There are no other known examples in medicine of one normal organ system turning into another. In this video I take you through my typical arm workout, consisting primarily of bicep and tricep isolation movements. Typically, I perform 4 sets of 10 to 12 repetitions for each exercise, but this can vary from time to time. I prefer to use a moderate weight to stimulate muscular hypertrophy, while at the same time maintaining good form to get the most out of the movement. Bicep curls are an integral part of any arm workout, along with tricep exercises such as dips, either bodyweight or weighted (with a belt). I am 18 years old, and I've been bodybuilding for about two years, although I've been pretty inconsistent because of school and other obligations until this summer when I have more free time.
