Quickly learn how Excel's SUMPRODUCT formulas works. Download the workbook: http://www.xelplus.com/excel-sumproduct-formula-easy-explanation/ Get the full course: https://courses.xelplus.com Advanced Excel: Master Excel's SUMPRODUCT Formula This video is part of a series that belongs to my Advanced Training course called "Advanced Excel: Top tips and formulas". The classical use of Excel's SUMPRODUCT function is to do a sum of multiplications. The good thing about SUMPRODUCT is that it can work on arrays of values and it doesn’t have to be entered as an array function so no need to do control + shift + enter (CSE). The great thing about SUMPRODUCT, is that it can help solve many more problems in non-obvious ways. It can act as a conditional SUMIFS function or work as a lookup function as INDEX and MATCH does. It can also act as a COUNTIF function. SUMPRODUCT is also a better SUMIFS, because it can check for OR conditions - which the SUMIFS can't. SUMIFS can only check for AND conditions. In this video you will see different examples of the SUMPRODUCT function and you will learn how it can save you from unnecessary "workarounds" in your Excel files. It will also show you the SUMPRODUCT formula in slow motion. ★ My Online Excel Courses ► https://courses.xelplus.com ✉ Subscribe & get my TOP 10 Excel formulas e-book for free https://www.xelplus.com/free-ebook/ EXCEL RESOURCES I Recommend: https://www.xelplus.com/resources/

I think we should be more specific, and therefore, the question is extended include two different integers and then the answer should be 15 and 17. Their sum is 32 and product is 255. NOTE: At times it may be important to explain our answer, along with assumptions, even in the test paper. This video is included for your suggestions and views. Thanks!

In this video we use the SUMPRODUCT function to calculate the weighted average of a range of values. When calculating the average, all values are assumed to be equal. However the weighted average, or weighted arithmetic mean, applies a greater weight to some values more than others. This can often make more sense. 5 awesome uses of the SUMPRODUCT function - https://youtu.be/7j89BYcccU0 In the video we calculate the weighted average of a range of assessment scores for an individual. But some assessments hold a greater value than others. The weighted average is found by multiplying each value by its weight, then summing the products and then dividing these totals by the sum of the weights. This makes SUMPRODUCT the perfect function for the job, along with the SUM function also. **FREE Instant download - 27 Awesome Excel Hacks - https://goo.gl/02ebSu Find more great free tutorials at; http://www.computergaga.com Connect with us! Big data makes it possible in principle to learn very rich probabilistic models, but inference in them is prohibitively expensive. Since inference is typically a subroutine of learning, in practice learning such models is very hard. Sum-product networks (SPNs) are a new model class that squares this circle by providing maximum flexibility while guaranteeing tractability. In contrast to Bayesian networks and Markov random fields, SPNs can remain tractable even in the absence of conditional independence. SPNs are defined recursively: an SPN is either a univariate distribution, a product of SPNs over disjoint variables, or a weighted sum of SPNs over the same variables. It's easy to show that the partition function, all marginals and all conditional MAP states of an SPN can be computed in time linear in its size. SPNs have most tractable distributions as special cases, including hierarchical mixture models, thin junction trees, and nonrecursive probabilistic context-free grammars. I will present generative and discriminative algorithms for learning SPN weights, and an algorithm for learning SPN structure. SPNs have achieved impressive results in a wide variety of domains, including object recognition, image completion, collaborative filtering, and click prediction. Our algorithms can easily learn SPNs with many layers of latent variables, making them arguably the most powerful type of deep learning to date. (Joint work with Rob Gens and Hoifung Poon.)

Counting Unique Values In Excel with sumproduct and countif formula. or Count the number of unique values Let’s consider we have a long list of duplicate values in a range and our objective is to count only the unique occurrences of each value. Though this can be a very common requirement in many scenarios but excel doesn’t have any single formula that can directly help us to count unique values in excel inside a range. In today’s Video, I will show different ways of counting unique values in excel. Using SumProduct and CountIF Formula: The simplest and easiest way to count distinct values in excel is to use SumProduct and CountIF formula. Following is the generic formula that you can use: =SUMPRODUCT(1/COUNTIF(data,data)) ‘data’ – data represents the range that contains the values Let’s See How This Formula Works: This formula consists of two functions combined together. Let’s first understand the role of inner CountIF function. The CountIF function looks inside the data range (B2: B9) and counts the number of times each value appears in the data range. The result is an array of numbers and in our example, it might look something like this: {2;2;3;3;3;2;2;1}. Next, the results of CountIF formula are used as a divisor with 1 as a numerator. This modifies the result of CountIF formula such that; values that only appear once in the array become 1 and the numbers corresponding to duplicate values become fractions corresponding to the multiple. This means that, if a value appears 4 times in the range then its value will become as 1/4 = 0.25 and value that is present only once will become 1/1 = 1 Finally, the SumProduct formula adds up all the elements in the array and returns the final result. Read these articles for more details on CountIF Function or SumProduct Function. The Catch: This formula works nicely on a continuous set of values in a range, however, if your values contain empty cells, then this formula fails. In such cases, the formula throws a ‘divide by zero’ error. Because CountIF function generates a ‘0’ for each blank cell and when 1 is divided by 0 it returns a divide by zero error. To fix this, you can use the following variant of the above formula that ignores the blank cells: =SUMPRODUCT(((data"")/COUNTIF(data , data &""))) ‘data’ – data represents the range that contains the values Note: This is an array formula so, after writing the formula press ‘Control-Shift-Enter’ and the formula will get surrounded by curly braces as shown below. So, this was the methods that can help you to count unique value in excel. Do let us know your own methods or tricks to do the same. ================================================ How to Use Excel Array Formula - Examples and guidelines in HINDI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8vC7K7P5FY ================================================ ＬＩＫＥ | ＣＯＭＭＥＮＴ | ＳＨＡＲＥ | ＳＵＢＳＣＲＩＢＥ अगर आप को यह विडियो पसंद आया तो कृपया लाइक करें और अगर आप कुछ कहना या पूछना चाहते है तो कृपया नीचे दिए गए कमेंट बॉक्स में लिखें ! Class 10th Maths Polynomials Find quadratic polynomial with sum and product of zeroes as 1/4, 1. Solutions of class x. In class 9th and 8th, we learnt that a polynomial is an expression consisting of variables and coefficients, that involves only the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and non-negative integer exponents of variables. The highest power of the variable in a polynomial is called degree of the polynomial. Hence, A polynomial with degree1 is called linear polynomial, A polynomial with degree 2 is called quadratic polynomial, and a polynomial with degree 3 is called cubic polynomial. A polynomial comprises of terms and if polynomial contains only one term it is called monomial, a polynomial having two terms is called binomial, and having three terms is called trinomial. If a polynomial has more than three terms we call is polynomial. In this series of video lessons by Mathetonic we shall learn: 1. What a polynomial is. 2. Types of polynomials on basis of degree and number of terms. 3. Find zeroes of polynomials (quadratic polynomials and cubic polynomials) 4. Relationship between the zeroes and the coefficients of the polynomials. 5. Find quadratic polynomial when sum and product of the zeroes of the polynomial are given. 6. Solve the questions by splitting middle term. 7. Division algorithm of polynomial. (Divide a polynomial by another polynomial) The mathematics channel from Jammu and Kashmir.
