Spain Food in Barcelona - Grilled Shrimp and Sardines + FC Barcelona Camp Nou Tour!

►Read my blog about Can Maño Restaurant: https://goo.gl/aGRHjN ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv On Day 23 of our Round The World Trip with Star Alliance, it was our final day in Barcelona, Spain. We started off the day with a truly outstanding seafood meal, and then we visited FC Barcelona Camp Nou. 1:23 Can Maño Restaurant - To begin this day in Barcelona we headed to an area of town called Barceloneta, which is near the sea. Although I had wanted to try a different restaurant which was closed, we then proceeded on to Can Maño Restaurant which proved to be a fantastic decision and the best meal I ate in Barcelona. The small restaurant specializes in seafood, and we ordered grilled sardines, fried anchovies, and a plate of gamberi which were shrimp. The food was outstanding, and while everything was good, the absolute highlight was the plate of shrimp that was doused in olive oil and covered in a layer of garlic. They were amazing, and I loved the atmosphere and food at Can Maño Restaurant in Barcelona. Total price - 37 EUR Read my blog post about Can Maño Restaurant for more details: https://goo.gl/aGRHjN 10:38 FC Barcelona Camp Nou tour - Camp Nou Experience - 23.95 EUR per person - Unfortunately during the summer when I was in Barcelona, FC Barcelona was not in season. Probably one of the reasons Barcelona is so famous around the world is because of their football club. So we bought tickets to go to the Camp Nou Experience to go to the stadium and take a tour. Overall it was a fun experience, but I would have really loved to go to an actual match. 15:18 Tapas 24 - After the FC Barcelona Camp Nou tour experience, we headed back into the center of Barcelona, did some shopping and then I came across Tapas 24, one of the famous trendy tapas bars in Barcelona that many people had recommended I try when I was in Barcelona. It’s a very expensive tapas bar, but it does have some character and they do have some unique and modern tapas. I ordered a king crab salad, their legendary Bikini de Carles Abellan which is a grilled cheese and ham sandwich, and finally la bomba de la Barceloneta. All the tapas were good, but I had to stop myself from ordering more because you could spend a fortune if you kept eating at Tapas 24. Total price - 32.90 EUR 19:43 Teruel Restaurant - For dinner, there was a restaurant very near to our hotel called Teruel Restaurant, and we stopped for an early dinner. We started off with the cod salad which was refreshing and then Ying and I shared the hake fish steak and beef short ribs. The beef short ribs were pretty tough but the hake was very good, although a bit plain. It wasn’t the best meal, but it was hearty and they served huge portion sizes. Total price - 28.10 EUR Day 23 was an excellent final day of food and attractions in Barcelona. I enjoyed visiting Nou Camp, but by far the highlight of my day was eating that incredible seafood meal at Can Maño Restaurant. SEA URCHIN TAPAS TOUR IN BARCELONA: seafood tapas experience in Spain

04:12
Travel & food guide in Barcelona, Spain. Today is Sunday; we decided to go for a seafood tapas lunch near the beach in Barcelona. The tapas restaurant locates in a small alley; it opens from 13:00. We ordered several small bite tapas dishes there: raw sea urchin sashimi, queen clam with roasted corn as a topping, traditional Spanish ham with deep-fried tomato bread, and grilled seafood mix plate. The first tapas we had is fresh sea urchin. The orange colour of the sea urchin makes the dish looks so amazing. The taste of the sea urchin is similar to the crab cream. It is so rich and creamy; it just melted in your mouth within a second. You do not need to bite or chew, just wait till it disappears in your tongue. It is so fresh, and it definitely worth a try! The next dish we got is called queen clam with roasted corn. The clam is fresh and raw; it marinated in the strong vinegar sauce. The sauce well balanced the raw taste of the sea. The topping roasted corn gives the bite a rich oily nutty taste. Personally, I do not like the corn on top so much, it felt like you were chewing the shell of the clam. Before we got our final seafood mix plate, we ordered some more traditional Spanish ham with deep-fried tomato bread. If you go to Spain, you should definitely try this dish; the meat is so friendly to meat lovers. The taste of fattiness of the ham mixed with the crispy bread is truly beautiful and unforgettable! Finally, we got our grilled seafood mix plate. They have shrimps, mussels, clams, rock snails, crab legs; it is a real mix of the taste of the sea. In general, the seafood mix is really fresh and tasty, but we also found few fish parts which are not fresh anymore. Just a tip, when you go to a seafood restaurant in Barcelona, pay attention to your every bite. Barcelona, Spain

Recorded August 21, 2008. Barcelona is the most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain, with a population of 1,615,908 in 2008, while the population of the Metropolitan Area was 3,161,081. It is located on the Mediterranean coast between the mouths of the rivers Llobregat and Besòs and is bounded to the west by the Serra de Collserola ridge. Barcelona is a major economic centre with one of Europe's principal Mediterranean ports, and Barcelona International Airport is the second largest in Spain after Madrid-Barajas Airport. The video begins before sunrise when I sail into Barcelona on the Sea Princess. After a beautiful sunrise I watch the many other ships sailing into the port for the day. Next I journey into the city and walk down La Rambla the main thoroughfare famous for its mimes. My walk continues past the Columbus Monument, a 197 foot tall monument for Christopher Columbus. The video concludes back on the Sea Princess as we sail away. My time in the city was limited as I spent most of the day at Montserrat which is an hours drive outside the city. Barcelona Food Tour at LA BOQUERIA and Sagrada Familia - Barcelona, Spain, Travel Guide!

33:03
►Read my blog post about La Boqueria: https://goo.gl/jNnk1J ►Subscribe to my videos: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►Camera I use: http://amzn.to/2dEL3hv On Day 21 of our Round The World Trip for food with Star Alliance, we spent the day in Barcelona. Barcelona is an amazing food city, and one of the best places to start eating is at La Boqueria. After eating and wandering, we headed over to Sagrada Família for a breathtaking tour. It was an amazing day of food and attractions in Barcelona. 00:34 Breakfast at Cotton House Hotel - We started off the morning at our hotel by having a quick breakfast. The jamon and selection of cured meats was the highlight. 2:53 Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria - Often known in short just as La Boqueria, this historical market is a food lover's paradise and a pilgrimage destination. We arrived early in the morning and headed first to Bar Pinotxo to eat our second breakfast. I ordered an omelet with eggplant and a plate of garbanzo beans and blood sausage. The dish was simple, but it was incredibly delicious. Additionally, the coffee was extremely good. Total price - 12.80 EUR ($14.04) 6:59 El Quim De La Boqueria - After finishing with the first place of tapas, I wandered over to another legendary tapas bar within La Boqueria market known as El Quim De La Boqueria. It’s a very expensive place, but I knew I wanted to try the fried eggs with baby squid. The dish was a simple combination of ingredients, but it was cooked perfectly, and it was incredibly delicious. I also couldn’t resist a plate of fried chilies. Total price - 32.05 EUR ($35.16) There are dozens of things to eat and try at La Boqueria, and after all the salty food I was ready to have a passion fruit juice. And then finally, to conclude the Barcelona food tour of La Boqueria, I bought a cone of sliced Jamón Ibérico. 14:14 Gothic Quarter, Barcelona Cathedral - After an amazing food tour, we walked around the Christopher Columbus monument and then continued on walking around the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. The Barcelona Cathedral was originally closed when we arrived, but I came back in a few minutes and walked around the Barcelona Cathedral as well. 16:37 Xarcutería La Pineda - Located just around the corner from the Barcelona Cathedral, I headed over to a place called Xarcutería La Pineda (recommended by Chris English), to try the botifarra blanca and a cup of vermouth. It’s an amazing little family run shop with a fantastic array of meats and drinks. Total price - 11.50 EUR 21:25 Basílica de la Sagrada Família - One of the most famous attractions in Barcelona is the Sagrada Familia, a basilica that was famous designed by Antoni Gaudi. I had read and dreamed about visiting for many years, so I was very excited to finally have the chance to visit. What amazed me is how dark and gothic it looks from the outside, yet how light and happy it is on the inside. Sagrada Familia is truly a stunning architectural feat, and an attraction you must visit in Barcelona. Along with visiting the main part of Sagrada Familia, I also bought tickets to go to the Nativity Tower. Going to the top of the tower and walking down was the highlight of visiting. Price - 29.00 EUR per person w/ tower entrance 26:16 Catalan Food for dinner at Restaurant Portolés - For dinner Ying and I walked over to Restaurant Portolés, a local Catalan food restaurant. Some of the main dishes I ordered included Fideuà and Rollitos De Pollo, all of which were delicious. It’s a great restaurant to try in Barcelona. Total price - 26.50 EUR This was a fantastic day in Barcelona, packed with delicious food and attractions in Barcelona. Disclaimer and Thank You: Thank you to Star Alliance and their Round The World tickets (http://www.staralliance.com/en/round-the-world) for sponsoring my business class flights. It is no surprise that emblematic constructions by the Catalan architects Antoni Gaudí and Lluís Doménech i Montaner have been declared World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. The city's origins are Roman, and its long history and economic dynamism have made Barcelona a cultural city, which can be seen in the historic-artistic heritage and the promotion of the most innovative artistic trends. Popular culture also has its manifestations in this city, which still conserves its most cherished traditions, like the fiestas of La Mercè or the festivities in the neighbourhoods of Gràcia, Sants and Poblenou. These are all exceptional opportunities for getting to know the city's more festive side. Tradition and modernity can also be seen in its innovative and imaginative gastronomy, based on fresh garden produce, fresh fish, a wide variety of sausages and olive oil. Traditional handmade cakes and pastries and sparkling wines are some of the other highlights in this brief overview of Barcelona's gastronomic culture. Strolling around the streets of Barcelona will bring surprises at every turn. Pedestrian streets in the old quarter, green spaces, and a splendid seafront with a range of modern facilities are a reflection of its multi-faceted character. Barcelona has cleverly succeeded in embracing its past without forgetting its commitment to the future. The city is endowed with some exceptional infrastructures which are in demand as venues for seminars, symposia and international events. Its exceptional transport connections, the Mediterranean climate and the multitude of attractions for visitors make Barcelona one of the world's leading business cities. Business parks and exhibition and conference centres host a wide range of initiatives. Visitors coming to Barcelona for pleasure or on business can also enjoy the city's Mediterranean character, which can so clearly be seen on the Barc elona coast. The city also has lovely urban beaches, marine resorts, and golf courses on the seashore. Nature lovers will not have to go far to explore the mountains in the Cordillera Litoral range and the Catalan Pyrenees.

Barca Nuria - Boat Trip from L'Estartit into Mediterranean Sea Caves and Illes Medes in Spain

Barca Nuria - Boat Trip from L'Estartit into Mediterranean Sea Caves and Illes Medes in Spain. Plus you get to swim and snorkel for a half hour out by the Illes Medes with the tropical fish! Very nice. Friendly captain and staff, great trip, fair price. The glass bottom boat is maybe handy to see fish at times, but most of the time your cruising along and the Mediterranean sea was choppy on our excursion day. Underwater footage of fish in the Mediterranean Sea by the Illes Medes - pretty neat I could film that! "LA BARCA NÚRIA WITH 50 YEARS EXPERIENCE, IS THE ONLY BY BOAT THAT CAN enter CAVES THE COSTA BRAVA" See: http://www.barcanuria.com Afterwards enjoy the beaches at L'Estartit and a drink! More than 125 years after construction began, the basilica still remains unfinished. Sagrada: The Mystery of Creation celebrates Gaudi's vision and the continuing work of architects as they strive to complete the colossal project while delving into the process of artistic creation in a historical context. La Sagrada Familia was commissioned by the Order of St Joseph in 1882. After conflicts arose between the Order and the original architect, 31 year old Antoni Gaudí was hired to complete the design. A devout Catholic and architectural prodigy, Gaudí envisioned a place of worship that combined elements of classic French Gothic style and the curvilinear, organic aspects of the budding Art Nouveau school. Despite decades of delays, thousands of artisans, laborers, and designers have contributed to the ambitious and glorious landmark. Inspired by Gaudí's vision, the film explores our fundamentally human search for the meaning of existence, and the quest for creative expression. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the Catalonian metropolis, the documentary investigates the structural developments of the Sagrada Família while allowing the audience time to observe, perceive, and reflect upon the historical, artistic and personal significance of the basilica.
