How to display barcode on Oracle BI Publisher report
Now a days Barcode automation is almost mandatory for any business to track products or orders effectively and efficiently. Any business who uses Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher as reporting system, could use it as barcode generator as well. We can display/print barcode on Oracle BI Publisher report. To submit data to BIP server, we could use other applications like Siebel Open UI. So Siebel Open UI will submit the report request to BIP server with all data and BI Publisher will transform that data to barcode. Barcode scanner can be used to read such barcodes. That way we can generate Reports with barcode from Siebel system or any other system using BIP. For more information, visit our website http://www.techonestop.com/2014/09/display-barcode-oracle-bi-publisher-report-from-siebel.html If you are looking for Siebel Open UI training, please drop us email ([email protected]) to get details. You could watch our sample video tutorial on Siebel Open UI training. http://youtu.be/NdbO7yqE2M8/ To get more updates, follow 'Techonestop' on Facebook / Twitter / LinkedIn. http://www.techonestop.com/

PLS-2: My First PL/SQL Program
For Full Course Experience Please Go To http://mentorsnet.org/course_preview?course_id=5 Full Course Experience Includes 1. Access to course videos and exercises 2. View & manage your progress/pace 3. In-class projects and code reviews 4. Personal guidance from your Mentors Goal is to write your first PL/SQL program. The basic program unit in PL/SQL is the block. A PL/SQL block is defined by the keywords DECLARE, BEGIN, EXCEPTION, and END. These keywords partition the block into a declarative part, an executable part, and an exception-handling part. Example of a Block DECLARE bonus NUMBER(8,2); emp_id NUMBER(6) := 100; BEGIN SELECT salary * 0.10 INTO bonus FROM employees WHERE employee_id = emp_id; Exception When NO_DATA_FOUND THEN null ; END; This is a typical PL/SQL block where 10% of salary is selected and stored on a temp variables bonus. If for some reason there is no employee with empid = 100 then the control will come to exception area and the code in the exception area will be executed. These blocks can be entirely separate or nested one within another. The basic units (procedures and functions, also known as subprograms, and anonymous blocks) that make up a PL/SQL program are logical blocks, which can contain any number of nested sub blocks. Therefore, one block can represent a small part of another block, which in turn can be part of the whole unit of code. Anonymous Blocks Anonymous blocks are unnamed blocks. They are declared at the point in an application where they are to be executed and are passed to the PL/SQL engine for execution at run time. You can embed an anonymous block within a pre-compiler program and within iSQL*Plus or Server Manager. Triggers in Oracle Developer components consist of such blocks. Subprograms Subprograms are named PL/SQL blocks that can accept parameters and can be invoked. You can declare them either as procedures or as functions. Generally use a procedure to perform an action and a function to compute a value. You can store subprograms at the server or application level. Using Oracle Developer components (Forms, Reports, and Graphics), you can declare procedures and functions as part of the application (a form or report) and call them from other procedures, functions, and triggers (see next page) within the same application whenever necessary. Note: A function is similar to a procedure, except that a function must return a value.

This tutorial series is part of SQL expert exam certification training. if you are preparing for SQL certification you can use my tutorials. This SQL Tutorial is a part of free training. We can also say that SQL tables are kind of data structure which are used by database for efficient storage of data. To create a table in our database we use SQL CREATE TABLE command. SQL CREATE TABLE is a type of DATA DEFINITION LANGUAGE also known as DDL. To Create a table in your schema you will require CREATE TABLE system privilege. In our future videos we will see what are system and object privileges and how to grant them to a user. Today for this video we will be using Sample schema HR which already has all the necessary privileges. Ohk Let's see the syntax. CREATE TABLE table name ( column name1 Data-Type(size), column name2 Data-Type(size), ..... ); CREATE TABLE is an oracle reserved word or say an Oracle key word whereas There are 3 different ways of creating a table in Oracle database. Creating a table using Command Line Interface (CLI) in Oracle database For demonstrating how to create table in oracle database using CLI, I'll be using Command prompt. Thats how we create table using command prompt. you can check your table structure by DESCRIBE command for that just write DESC and your table name. Like this Another way of creating a table is by using Graphic user interface (GUI) in Oracle database To demonstrate how to create table using GUI we will use SQL developer. Lets open our SQL developer I am connected to HR schema if you do not know how to create a connection to database using SQL developer please watch my oracle database tutorial 4 that explains database connectivity using SQL developer and command prompt. Link for this video is in the description below. So lets create a table. Creating a table using SQL developer is very easy we do not have to fire any query here. Let's start First of all right click on your connection in which you want to create a table and choose schema browser. This will open a separate schema browser pane or you can expend your connection by clicking this + sign and then right click on table and choose New Table. However I prefer working with schema browser so let's skip to schema browser pane here from the first drop-down list you can choose connection name and in the second drop down list you can choose what database objects you want to work with we want to create a table thus I'll choose table and then click this arrow here and choose option for new table Ok we have created a table wizard first of all give a unique name to your table and add some column as well. For this, click the green plus button. Now we already have a column so give it some name. Also choose a datatype from the list and specify any size you can check this not null column if in case you want to make this a mandatory column you can also specify default value and constraint If you want to make this column a primary key you can click here In my future video i'll show you what are these constraints and different ways of applying them on a column in a table. for this video we will concentrate on create table only so when you are done with all your columns click ok Thats your table You can double click on your table here and can see its structure. Thats it

Write a program to print prime numbers between 1 to 100
There is a minute mistake in this program, Outer for-loop is running for 1 to n and due to this 1 is also coming in output which is not a prime number. Rest of logic is fine. You just need to run outer for-loop from 2 to n in order to correct the program. I already tried to fix it but did't find the way Please just how can I inform about this mistake for new visitors.

PDF printing Apex - SQLWord
website: http://www.sqlword.com live demo: http://sqlword.com/apex/f?p=sqlword11 Most Oracle database users know that it is quite difficult to retrieve Oracle data into Microsoft Word documents. Sequel Solutions has developed a report generator which gives you a powerful tool to solve this problem. You can define your documents in Microsoft Word and use SQLWord to generate documents merged with the data from your Oracle database. When using SQLWord you can create your own standard letters, contracts and reports, integrating with the data of your Oracle database. Using the SQLWord Developer application, you can place several SQL-statements enclosed by scriptlets inside the text of a Microsoft Word document. Microsoft Word documents with scriptlets can be stored by the SQLWord Developer application into your Oracle database, compiled as PL/SQL stored procedures. By calling the PL/SQL-procedure SQLWord retrieves the data from your Oracle database and integrates it in the generated output document If you run SQLWord "web-enabled" through an Oracle Apex application the output document is send to the webbrowser on the client, where the document is opened with Microsoft Word For more information check our website at http://www.sqlword.com Best regards, Arthur Kolkman Sequel Solutions
