To Start the Reporting Services Configuration Manager. Use the following step that is appropriate for your version of Microsoft Windows: From the Windows start screen, type Reporting and select Reporting Services Configuration Manager from the earch results. Select Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft SQL Server 2017, and then point to Configuration Tools. If you want to configure a report server instance from a previous version of SQL Server, open the program folder for that version. For example, point to SQL Server 2014 instead of Microsoft SQL Server 2017 to open the configuration tools for SQL Server 2014 server components. Select Reporting Services Configuration Manager. The Reporting Services Configuration Connection dialog box appears so that you can select the report server instance you want to configure. Select Connect. In Server Name, specify the name of the computer on which the report server instance is installed. The name of the local computer appears by default, but you can type the name of a remote SQL Server instance if you want to connect to a report server that is installed on a remote computer. If you specify a remote computer, select Find to establish a connection. In Report Server Instance, select the SQL Server Reporting Services instance that you want to configure. Only report server instances for this version of SQL Server appear in the list. You cannot configure earlier versions of Reporting Services. Select Connect.

Step 1: Go to dbhome --- hostname_SID --- Sysman --- Config --- open emd.properties in notepad and set the value agentTZRegion=+06:00 to the value of your timezone and click save. You can also do it using export and time zone reset commands. Step 2: ALTER DATABASE SET TIME_ZONE='+06:00'; according to your time zone. You can check DB TIME Zone using " select dbtimezone from dual ; ". Step 3: In step 2 if you get the error "ORA-30079: cannot alter database timezone when database has TIMESTAMP WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE columns" then please FOLLOW following steps SQL--- select count (*) from dba_tab_columns 2 where data_type like 'TIMESTAMP%WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE' ; COUNT(*) 1 In this case there is only one table. The owner and name can be determined by: SQL--- select owner, table_name from dba_tab_columns 2 where data_type like 'TIMESTAMP%WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE'; OWNER TABLE_NAME ------------------------------ OE ORDERS SQL--- desc oe.orders ; Name Null? Type -------- ORDER_ID NOT NULL NUMBER(12) ORDER_DATE NOT NULL TIMESTAMP(6) WITH LOCAL TIME ZONE ORDER_MODE VARCHAR2(Cool CUSTOMER_ID NOT NULL NUMBER(6) ORDER_STATUS NUMBER(2) ORDER_TOTAL NUMBER(8,2) SALES_REP_ID NUMBER(6) PROMOTION_ID NUMBER(6) This oe.orders is just a table in the example schema of OE so this colums can be dropped. So please dont install sample schemas if you dont need them. SQL--- alter table OE.ORDERS drop column ORDER_DATE ; Table altered. Now the Time Zone can be altered using above command. Step 4: Also check the value of " SELECT SESSIONTIMEZONE FROM DUAL; " and if the value differs from os time zone, db time zone , emd.properties / agent time zone then also set it according to your timezone but I believe it always gives the OS time zone. Step 5: Stop and Restart all Services and check that Oracle DBConsole service is running or not and if not running then start from command prompt " emctl start dbconsole" . https://hostname:1158/em/

Also I was doing this with SELinux disabled and we already had working SunRays with Solaris 10 so I can't really comment on the dhcp configs or any special network acls we may have in place.

How to Enable General Query Logging in MySQL Windows & Linux - MySQL DBA Tutorial

17:00
General Query Logging for MySQL in Windows: If General Query logs are enabled without providing the location for General Query log file, then by default location for the General Query log will be "C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0\Data" and file name will be "HostName.log". To make change for General Query log file location and name , you can go to my.ini file on below path "C:\ProgramData\MySQL\MySQL Server 8.0", Look for general-log=0 general_log_file="HostName.log" Change the value general-log=1 to enable it. if you would like to update the location for file, you can change in general-log-file=Folder Path/GeneralQueryLogFile.log General Query Log File in Linux: The default location for General Query log file for MySQL installed on Linux is /var/lib/MySQL. If you need to make changes to default location and binary file name, you can go to /etc/my.cnf file and update it. In case of default location, the name of the file will be "HostName.log". You can add below configuration to /etc/my.cnf to enable or disable General Query log. general-log=0 general_log_file="/DirectoryPath/HostName.log" Once you will make the changes, you will be restarting the MySQL service. How to Set Environment Variables in Windows

01:27
Follow this step by step tutorial to learn how to set environment variables from system settings in the windows operating system. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ In this tutorial, you will learn how to set environment variables in windows. Operating systems require environment variables as settings and configurations for several processes. Although these variables are automatically defined or initialized during the installation of the system or specific software, in windows, to set environment variables manually is not a difficult task. That's because windows allows us to manually add, remove or edit environment variables through system settings according to our requirements. Step # 1 -- Opening environment variables In windows, to set environmental variables, you can take two paths. Either we can go to control panel, then access the system security option, and then the system option. Or we can simply right click on My Computer and select its properties. Once we are in the system window, select the advanced system settings from the list on the left side. A new window will pop up. Over here, click on the environment variables button near the bottom of this window and you can now access the Windows environment variables. Step # 2 -- Adding a variable In this window there are two sets of environment variables, one is the "user variables", and the other is the "system variables". Choose the new button in the user variables section to open the "define a new variable" dialog window. Over here, you will be required to define the variable name as anything you wish to set, such as temporary and then define its value as the path to the directory. With that done, let's complete this process by pressing OK. Your new environment variable has been created now. Step # 3 -- Editing and removing a variable To edit an environment variable, click on it, and then click on the edit button to open a dialog window. Here we can edit the name and value of the variable. Likewise to remove an environment variable, simply click on the variable and then click on the delete button. Once all the definitions are complete, close the window and restart your computer to allow the operating system to load these settings on boot. And that's basically all you need to know for how to set environment variables in windows.
Solaris 11 Assigning Privileges to Users

02:53
More videos like this online at http://www.theurbanpenguin.com Oracle Solaris 11 has a security mechanism within RBAC that goes beyond the normal OS security we may expect to find. We may want a user account to be able to back-up the complete file-system for this they will need to be able to read all files. It is a mammoth task to ensure the user has read access to all files so often the root account may be used for this. Using privileges within RBAC we can assign the user file_dac_read which allows them to read files even though they may not be in the files ACL. Now we maintain the security that we need using the concept of Least Privilege

New to Oracle and .NET development? This video gives you everything you need to know to get up and running quickly! We walk you through downloading and installing the needed Oracle software and then connecting in Visual Studio and creating a simple C# application. The video starts at the Oracle .NET Developer Technology Center website at http://otn.oracle.com/dotnet We then download the "ODTwithODAC" package, extract it and run the installer. Note that ODAC version 12 works with Oracle Database versions 10.2 or higher. After installing we connect in Server Explorer and learn about the connection dialog features, including the Filters tab which by default filters out additional schemas you may have privileges on. We connect to the database using the easy to use EZ connect format. Finally we create a simple C# application and connect to the database using ODP.NET Managed driver and a EZ Config connect string. Prerequisites: 1) Visual Studio 2012 or 2013 -- any edition except Express Edition. Visual Studio Community Edition is supported. 2) An Oracle Database to connect to. You will need to know the hostname, port number and service name of the database. During the video we install: Oracle Data Provider for .NET Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio Oracle .NET Samples Oracle .NET Documentation

Grab Your Free 17-Point WordPress Pre-Launch PDF Checklist: http://vid.io/xqRL Grab your free 10-Point WP Security Checklist: http://bit.ly/10point-wordpress-hardening-checklist Error establishing database connection is a very common error that I bet every WordPress user has encountered at some point. Luckily the fix is very easy and there are two ways to fix it. Nearly every time this error is caused by incorrect or incomplete database information in your wp-config.php file or no linking the database user to the database. Let's tackle the first one first. Incorrect or incomplete database information in your wp-config.php All you have to do here is double check your MySQL database name, database username and the database user password. Make sure the credentials you have in the wp-config.php match exactly to the ones you created. If you're not sure where to find the ones you created, log into your cPanel account. Then click on MySQL databases. That will show you all the database in your hosting account. Find the correct on for the wp-config.php file you're working on. Make sure the db name matches what's in the file. Then find the db username you have linked to that database and what's in the wp-config.php file matches exactly what's associated with your database. If you don't remember the password, or have it noted somewhere, you can generated a new password for the user and put that into the wp-config.php. While you're here, you can make sure that the second possible reason for the error is taken care of. At the bottom of the MySQL database page you will be able to link the database user to the database. Make sure they are linked and the correct privileges are set. If you're unsure of the proper privileges, choose them all. Now save the db user to database association. Save the wp-config.php file you were updating. Then go to the page that was generating the error establishing database connection error and reload that page. Everything should be working normally now. How To Kill All Database Processes On SQL Server

06:42
SQl management studio provides lot of facilities to manage SQL processes. The “Activity monitor screen” which will show you some very useful and important information about SQL processes. It will show you all active processes, there status, number of open transactions for each process, the application by which the process is generated, Wait time CPU and memory utilisation, and the host name, means the host or the machine by which the process is initiated etc. If a process is hanging, it will show the process icon with an hour glass. Refresh it several times, sometimes the icon will turn to sleep mode if the process completes its execution. If the icon remains an hour glass, the process may be hanging. Use other info as well to decide if the process is really hanging. If you double click on the process ID it will show the SQL stamen subjected to the execution of the process. If a process is hanging you can identify which application has originated the process, which SQL stamen is hanging and even more from which machine or the host the process is initiated If some application users are complaining about uneven slowness, uneven timeouts etcetera, the reason behind may be one or more processors are hanging. What can you do now? You can restart the SQL server or the service which will disconnect all databases and all applications disturbing all the users. Or otherwise you can take the database to off line and bring it back to online. Or you can disconnect all connections to the database. The disturbance may be lesser than the previous case but still lot of applications and users can be disturbed, especially in an industrial setup. And still you do not know the real reason for the slowness or the malfunctioning as well. So what can you do? Go and examine the processors. Identify exactly which process is hanging. And most probably you will be identifying how and why. So you can find permanent solution. But the immediate solution is you can kill the troubling process or the few. It will solve the issue with minimum disturbance immediately. After identifying the correct process, you can right click on the process ID and click on ‘Kill process’ button. It will kill the selected process. You can kill processors using SQL statements and, using SQL commands you can kill all processors at once as well. Code for Killing Processes Individually USE master go DECLARE @dbname sysname SET @dbname = 'YourDB' EXECUTE ('KILL 53') Code for killing all Processes USE master go DECLARE @dbname sysname SET @dbname = 'YourDB' DECLARE @spid int SELECT @spid = min(spid) from master.dbo.sysprocesses where dbid = db_id(@dbname) WHILE @spid IS NOT NULL BEGIN EXECUTE ('KILL ' + @spid) SELECT @spid = min(spid) from master.dbo.sysprocesses where dbid = db_id(@dbname) AND spid @spid END

To access the code snippets used in the video series please visit https://github.com/saphanaacademy/Live2 Connecting to the Server: Bob wants to connect SAP HANA Studio to the SAP HANA Once server and shows how to in 6 steps. 1. In SAP HANA Studio Bob clicks on the double windows in the top left corner to open a perspective. Bob chooses to leave the default SAP HANA Administration Console perspective. 2. On the left hand side Bob right clicks and selects add system. 3. Next, Bob goes to his folders and clicks on computer, then the C Drive, then the Windows folder, then the System 32 folder, then the drivers folder, then the etc folder, before finally right clicking and opening the hosts file in notepad. 4. At the bottom of the notepad Bob writes in the IP address of the Linux box that contains the SAP HANA One instance followed by the word hana and then clicks save. 5.
