Oracle Enterprise Manager: Metric Extensions

19:49
Metric extensions provide you with the ability to extend Oracle's monitoring capabilities to monitor conditions specific to your IT environment. This provides you with a comprehensive view of your environment. Furthermore, metric extensions allow you to simplify your IT organization's operational processes by leveraging Enterprise Manager as the single central monitoring tool for your entire datacenter instead of relying on other monitoring tools to provide this supplementary monitoring. See Enterprise manager online documentation for more information: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E73210_01/EMADM/GUID-4FCB90EC-5335-4F92-BFA7-CB1442000353.htm#EMADM10032 ================================= To improve the video quality, click the gear icon and set the Quality to 1080p/720p HD. PL/SQL tutorial Bind Variable in PL/SQL By Nayabsoft

06:22
we will discuss Variables in Pl/SQL. A variable is nothing but a name given to a storage area that our programs can manipulate. Each variable in PL/SQL has a specific data type, which determines the size and the layout of the variable's memory; the range of values that can be stored within that memory and the set of operations that can be applied to the variable. The name of a PL/SQL variable consists of a letter optionally followed by more letters, numerals, dollar signs, underscores, and number signs and should not exceed 30 characters. By default, variable names are not case-sensitive. You cannot use a reserved PL/SQL keyword as a variable name. PL/SQL programming language allows to define various types of variables, such as date time data types, records, collections, etc. which we will cover in subsequent chapters. For this video, let us study only basic variable types.

02:21
This video is about how to use Graphical application in Linux server environment. And this video will cover the basic concept of X11 forwarding, Xming server, DISPLAY variable in Linux and Graphical application on Linux. So to get the Graphical access to any GUI based application we need to follow below listed steps: 1. While logging into the server, Enable the X11 forwarding in Putty Setting. 2. After Login into the Linux machine you need run X11 forwarding server which is "xming" on window machine, which you are using to get access to the Linux server. 3. The xming can be downloaded from google and very easy to install. To launch Xming just click on "Xming Launch" icon and provide the port number where you want to run the xming server and finish the setup. 4. Once Xming is successfully launched on window machine. Just go to the Linux server and set the DISPLAY environment variable using the command "export DISPLAY=Window machine IP : Port of Xming server" i.e. "export DISPLAY=10.66.12.249:7.0" (Refer video for more clarity). 5. You can launch any Graphical application now. Test using "xclock" command. Also check the IPTABLES & SELINUX status at your Linux machine, both should be turned off. We are focusing on the basic problems, which we are facing during the installation or implementation of any application and due to unavailability of related content, it took large amount of time. Hope this kind of video will help you and you will not lose your continuity during the activity. Will come with more videos soon.

Vagrant Tutorial - Running a VM For Your Local Development Environment

10:53
Vagrant and VM's can RADICALLY shape your development workflow. Instead of every developer working on their own local server with their own configuration, you can configure a portable local environment that exactly mirrors your staging and production environments. Now developers can spin up this environment on their machine and work completely locally without having to change their machine configuration to accommodate the project they're working on. Also, each project they work on can have it's own VM running it's own configuration that they can spin up. Also, Vagrant provides an easy-to-destroy environment to practice your Linux server administration skills! Using OLEDB VBO will connect to Oracle database 1. Check in your system database is existed or not. Let me check once Here is my Oracle XE database browser window I connect to HR schema, because My employee data is existed here select * from employees Here the query to retrive employees data. 2. Drag the Action stage into the process and choose the Data - OLEDB and choose Set Connection We have three parameters to pass 1. Database - Here I have the database details let me show you how the structure is: (DESCRIPTION=(CID=GTU_APP)(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1521)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=XE)(SERVER=DEDICATED))); User Id=hr;Password=hr; Here, (HOST=localhost) is refered to localmachine (PORT=1521) port for your oracle database (SID=XE) name of the database User Id=hr;Password=hr - username and password for HR Schema provide this whole content in double quotes 2.
