SWOT analysis in practice - Starbucks -------------------------------- Strategy analysis has two main branches – analysis of a firm’s external environment and analysis of a firm’s internal environment. SWOT is a famous framework that allows us to combine the two types of analysis. SWOT is sometimes referred to as internal-external analysis. The acronym SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. The first two, Strengths and Weaknesses, are related to a firm’s internal environment, while the last two, Opportunities and Threats, consider its external environment. Internal strengths and external opportunities are vertically paired as helpful elements, while internal weaknesses and external threats are paired as harmful elements. if we perform a company analysis, under strengths, we would expect to see its core competences, the areas where the business excels and has a competitive advantage over competitors. Weaknesses are areas that need improvement. Such vulnerabilities place a company at a disadvantage when competing against other firms. Opportunities can be seen as favorable factors existing in a company’s external environment, in the industry where it operates, and have the potential to improve its current results and competitive positioning. Threats arise in a company’s external environment and might harm its current business.

How product design can change the world | Christiaan Maats | TEDxUniversityofGroningen

13:07
Christiaan Maats is a designer and entrepreneur who challenges the way we look at product design. Going beyond form and function he shows us how products carry deeper layers of meaning and how those layers can connect us to a bigger reality. In this Talk, Christiaan Maats explains how meaningful products can embody the change we want to see in the world and sheds light on his own vision of a circular society that integrates industrial society with its natural roots. Christiaan Maats was born and raised in Groningen, though he studied Industrial Design Engineering at Technical University in Delft. His keen interest in the psychology behind product- and brand experience took him to Sydney, Australia where he conducted a case study titled “Storytelling through Product Design”. Good product design is good storytelling, according to Christiaan. His creation of the world’s first biodegradable shoes that bloom is a perfect example of his philosophy. Christiaan considers himself a practical idealist. He is driven by his passion for innovation and creating products and brands that inspire a better future by making you smile, think and wonder. His refreshing ideas on sustainable innovation disrupt the status quo. Christiaan's diverse background and enthusiasm are great ingredients for an inspiring TEDx Talk that focuses on the society of the future and how to get there. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

Four Levels of Leadership | Dan Martell

06:28
Is your team committed to your business? In this video, I share how leadership has changed over the last 20 years, and how to do it right by understanding the 4 Levels of Leadership. Are you an entrepreneur? Get free weekly video training here: http://www.danmartell.com/newsletter + Join me on FB: http://FB.com/DanMartell + Connect w/ me live: http://periscope.tv/danmartell + Tweet me: http://twitter.com/danmartell + Instagram awesomeness: http://instagram.com/danmartell Even though he almost fired me after 2 weeks... ... my leadership style came from a guy named Darcy. I was 21 years old, and just got a contract position with a company in Fort McMurray, Alberta working on the tech team at Syncrude. Somehow I was hired even though the people reporting to me were 10 years older. Darcy gave me 2 weeks to “figure it out.” Over the next two years I would learn everything I know today on how to lead. I had an incredible mentor in Darcy, and it wasn’t till years later when I started my first “real company” that I truly appreciated the magnitude of what I had learned. One of the most enduring and powerful lessons I learned was the 4 Levels of Leadership. The 3rd level is the most powerful. The 2nd level is the reason so many startups in Silicon Valley have such high turn over. Master the 4th level and you can change the world. Here are the 4 levels: 1. Title 2. Trader 3. Servant 4. Spiritual What I loved most about working with Darcy was his hunger for improvement, and for getting suggestions from ALL levels of the team. He’d eagerly ask interns for their thoughts on solving major company wide problems, and take them into consideration. If he moved forward on any of them, he’d give them credit even though I knew he had already discussed that solution with me. He was a master at leading and inspiring the team, and I’ll be forever grateful for getting a chance to learn from the very best at such a young age. Be sure to honour your teachers, and leave a comment with the name, company and short story of how you were taught an incredible lesson on leadership from one of your past mentors. At the core of all human connection is the need to teach and lead. I hope I can inspire you all to operate from a level 3 going forward! Dan “serving my team” Martell" Don't forget to share this entrepreneurial advice with your friends, so they can learn too: https://youtu.be/N6GXQpT3RMU ===================== ABOUT DAN MARTELL ===================== “You can only keep what you give away.” That’s the mantra that’s shaped Dan Martell from a struggling 20-something business owner in the Canadian Maritimes (which is waaay out east) to a successful startup founder who’s raised more than $3 million in venture funding and exited not one... not two... but three tech businesses: Clarity.fm, Spheric and Flowtown. You can only keep what you give away. That philosophy has led Dan to invest in 33+ early stage startups such as Udemy, Intercom, Unbounce and Foodspotting. It’s also helped him shape the future of Hootsuite as an advisor to the social media tour de force. An activator, a tech geek, an adrenaline junkie and, yes, a romantic (ask his wife Renee), Dan has recently turned his attention to teaching startups a fundamental, little-discussed lesson that directly impacts their growth: how to scale. Participation Levels in Sports - GCSE Physical Education (PE) Revision

01:26
Participation Levels in Sports - Get Unlimited Access to GCSE Tutor Videos & Online Revision Here for £19.99: http://www.revisionapp.co.uk/product/online-gcse-revision/ There are many different levels to participation in sport whether it is succeeding at the highest level and making a career of sports or pushing yourself through a tedious PE lesson at school. This section gives you a breakdown of how participation varies at these different levels. Sports Participation Pyramid There are four levels of participation within a sport and with each step up the pyramid the level of participation lowers: Stage 1: This is the foundation level of a sport where you won't understand the rules much and will have only basic skills. This is the level most people are at when they start school as most people are not yet decided which sports they enjoy Stage 2: The participation stage is where some people drop off from the foundation level and you acquire a level of competence at your chosen activity whether it be for social, health or just fun reasons. Stage 3: The performance level is where you start taking the sport seriously and are committed to improving your skill set for this activity. There will be much less people participating at this level than in stage 2. Stage 4: This final stage is known as the Elite stage and very few make it this far. This is reserved for the highly skilled athletes who have reached the top level of excellence in their chosen activity. At this level you compete both nationally and internationally and gain recognition for your achievements! GCSE Physical Education (PE) Revision: http://www.revisionapp.co.uk/gcse-physical-education/

Hair Growth Products Absolique GRN 3 Levels of Treatment

02:57
Hair Growth Products Absolique GRN – 3 Levels of Treatment http://www.hair-loss-treatments.com.au/ http://www.brisbanehairloss.com.au/ http://www.hair-loss-sydney.com.au/ [email protected] Please consult Absolique Trichologist for the best option for you. The prescriptive scalp preparation will be unique for your individual hair and scalp concerns and level of hair loss treatment and also depend on where you are at with you nutrition which we will gauge from your blood test results, your pH results and of course lifestyle influences including stress and emotional situations which sometimes cannot be avoided. Absolique GRN has three levels of usage outlined below. Level 1 - In the first 4 months of hair loss treatments ideally you would use GRN hair loss treatment product for maximum effect in combination therapy following your diagnosis. This would include your individual nutritional program and topical treatments every second day or three times a week with the following scalp preparation: • Scalp Brush Therapy • Absolique Scalp Cleanser • Absolique Scalp Tonique • Microneedle Therapy • Activance Practitioner Formula where prescribed • Absolique GRN – Grow . Revitalise . Nourish Microscopic analysis should take place after the first four months of treatment to view results and drop down to a maintenance program that will depend on your future expectations and individual lifestyle. After the first four months of hair loss treatments things get easier, most of the time you have perfected your topical treatment regime or you can share your dislikes, so you may wish to continue the same regime, or drop it down to two times a week. Level 2 - Another alternative is to continue on every second day or three times a week, but drop out the microneedle and do one full treatment a week and on the other days use the following scalp preparation: • Scalp Brush Therapy • Absolique Scalp Cleanser • Absolique Scalp Tonique • Activance Practitioner Formula where prescribed • Absolique GRN – Grow . Revitalise . Nourish Level 3 - When you have reached your satisfactory and natural hair density, you can simply maintain your results or use as preventative hair loss treatment product with this simple regime and following scalp preparation: • Scalp Brush Therapy • Absolique Scalp Cleanser • Activance Practitioner Formula where prescribed • Absolique GRN – Grow . Revitalise . Nourish You may also have other topical hair loss treatments prescribed to use in conjunction with the above hair loss treatment regime, this will be outlined in your individual ‘Treatment’ instructions sheet. It is a good idea to check in with Absolique Trichologist every four, six or twelve months to ensure everything is going well with your health and hair and to make any treatment changes depending on results. DIY Icy White Platinum Blonde Hair Tutorial

08:00
I often get asked where I get my hair done and everyone is shocked when I tell them I do it myself. Here's my go to tutorial on how I lighten and keep up my platinum blonde hair. NOTE | I'm not an expert so I do want to just warn you that if you try this yourself you have to take caution I am only doing my roots in this video, but if you want to do your full head (and your hair hasn't been bleached at all) the main steps still apply (you just won't need to section off your hair if you don't want to, you can just apply it however it easiest to you!) ** IF you have some bleach processed hair (so brown with highlights or something) you can't go straight white with already bleached hair on your head but doing it in less harsh steps you can get there. I started with a couple bleach baths with 20 volume to even it out and as my hair grew out I was able to get this white!** PRODUCTS I USE | + Coconut oil https://amzn.to/2Cc0ps6 + 20 Volume Creme Developer https://amzn.to/2RF45wm + T-18 Lightest Ash Blonde Color Charm Toner - https://amzn.to/2SJ9rnL + Violet Prism Lites Lightener (Violet works well for hair that takes yellow out… blue takes orange out…doesn’t OVERLY matter but I just found that my results are better with the violet) - https://amzn.to/2Canr2Q + Hair Color Mixing Bowl - https://amzn.to/2LYRpv9 + Black Hair Dye Brush x 2 (I use one for applying the coconut oil) - https://amzn.to/2LYRpv9 + Duckbill Clips & Hair Elastics - https://amzn.to/2LWEVEn + Plastic Bag +Shampoo + Conditioner (Plaine Products)- https://www.plaineproducts.com/product/shampoo-conditioner-2/ref/46/ I found most of my products from my local Sally Beauty store. If you don't have one near you, I've attached links to where you can buy the products online. The coconut oil you can pick up from any natural whole foods store, or grocery store (Costco sells a big tub that I used to buy all the time.) ___________________________________ HOW TO TIP | I do two rounds of 20 volume developer so it's a less intensive application on my head. Everyone's hair color is different and I know that my hair takes two rounds (sometimes even a third for touch ups) of 20. If your hair is lighter than mine, the color may lift quicker and you may only need one round, or you may need all three rounds it all depends. Going with a stronger developer than 20 just means the strength to pull the color is more intense which can also mean more hard on your hair and greater chance for it to melt it. So this works for me, and if you have time I'd strongly suggest doing it this way! Just make sure to give a good amount of time for your hair/head to recover from the bleaching process. It's weak every time you bleach so be careful with not overlapping into previously bleached hair AND do give time for it to rest. Also using coconut oil yes helps the hair stay nourished but I use it mainly for controlling the hair for an easier application. I've heard some say it prevents the bleach from fully working and people say that it doesn't and works great. Personally, I've tried it a ton of times with coconut oil and a ton of times without (I've been doing this for a few years now lol) and I notice no difference, so I'm stickin' with it! UML Use Case Diagram Tutorial

13:24
Learn how to make Use Case Diagrams in this tutorial. Both beginners and intermediate UML diagrammers will find all the necessary training and examples on systems, actors, use cases, and include and extend relationships. UML Use Case Diagrams show a system or application; then they show the people, organizations, or other systems that interact with it; and finally, they show a basic flow of what the system or application does. This tutorial explains the four main characteristics of Use Case Diagrams: systems, actors, use cases, and relationships. A system is whatever you’re developing. It could be a website, a software component, a business process, an app, or any number of other things. You represent a system with a rectangle. The next aspect of Use Case Diagrams are actors. An actor is going to be someone or something that uses our system to achieve a goal, and they're represented by a stick figure. Use Cases are elements that really start to describe what the system does. They're depicted with an oval shape and they represent an action that accomplishes some sort of task within the system. The final element in Use Case Diagrams are relationships, which show how actors and use cases interact with each other. There are different types of relationships (like association, include, extend, and generalization) that are represented by varying types of lines and arrows. —— Learn more and sign up: http://www.lucidchart.com Follow us: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lucidchart Twitter: https://twitter.com/lucidchart Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lucidchart LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/lucidsoftware
