WO2W - Ep 1 - Bike Touring in France

07:27
We are currently on a bicycle tour around the world. Starting in April 2017 in France, we plan to cycle east to the Pamir Highway then we will figure out where next! In these videos, we hope to show you what our life is like day-to-day and the things we see along the way in the great outdoors. This is the first of a few videos following our journey along the Eurovelo 6 cycle highway. We started in France on the 26th of May and made our way East from Nantes, following the Loire river on to Alsace. During this part of the trip we were getting used to life on the road and travelling by bicycle, it helped us understand some of the difficulties we would face later on during the trip whilst taking us through the beautiful French countryside. France was a dream to cycle in, even though the weather wasn't always great, the cycle paths and the pastries definitely were. Bikepacking France - SUMMER cycling on the French Riviera WOW!

10:46
In this episode, we leave tropical Thailand for the summer cycle touring in Europe. We land in Nice, France, where the weather is HOT and the water is cold. The hills are big and the towns are old, all with names we can’t pronounce. During our first week, we travel from the Mediterranean coast of Nice to the small country town of Uzès to visit our dear friend and her beautiful family to lap up some true French hospitality. Join us on our new adventures in this romantically cycling mecca. Bicycle touring in France - Cycling in France on a bike tour

01:02:33
I made this film when bicycle touring in France as part of the longer cycling trip from Greece to England. During this bike tour, I made a vlog a day. Here, I've put together all the cycling vlogs made when cycling in France to make this longer video. You might need to make yourself a nice cup of tea before settling down to watch this one. I think this bicycle touring in France film is about an hour long! You can find out more about my Greece to England cycling trip here - https://www.davestravelpages.com/cycling-from-greece-to-england

Cycling Tour de France 2010 Part 1

01:37:06
The 2010 Tour de France was the 97th edition of the Tour de France cycle race, one of cycling's Grand Tours. It started on 3 July with an 8.9 km prologue time trial in Rotterdam, the first start in the Netherlands since 1996. The race visited three countries: the Netherlands, Belgium and France, and finished on 25 July on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The total length was 3,642 kilometres (2,263 mi) including 60.9 kilometres (37.8 mi) in time-trials. Following an opening prologue time trial, the first three stages passed through the Netherlands and Belgium on routes designed to replicate some features of the spring classic cycle races. This included seven cobblestone sectors totaling 13.2 kilometres (8.2 mi), the longest distance of cobblestones in the Tour since 1983, on stage 3.[3] There were six mountain stages, three of them with mountaintop finishes, and two medium mountain stages. In the 100th anniversary year of their first inclusion on the Tour, the emphasis was on the Pyrenees, with two ascents of the Col du Tourmalet. The Tour was initially won by Alberto Contador, who was later revealed to have failed a doping test. After a series of events, the CAS finally decided in February 2012 that Contador lost his results from 2010, declaring Andy Schleck the new winner. Schleck also won the young riders' competition for the third time running. France's Anthony Charteau won the polkadot jersey as the King of the Mountains whilst the Italian sprinter Alessandro Petacchi won the green jersey for victory in the points classification. The official Tour presentation was held on 14 October 2009. It was the third consecutive Grand Tour to begin in the Netherlands, as the 2009 Vuelta a España began in Assen, and the 2010 Giro d'Italia in Amsterdam.

Cycle camping coast to coast touring in France

04:44
I've thought about going on a cycle tour for years but somehow never got round to actually doing one. Then, I went on a relatively short coast to coast cycle trip with a couple friends in Devon and that was enough to spark me into action to do a short solo tour in France. In May 2011 I caught a ferry from Portsmouth dock and cycled 700 miles over 12 days to the south coast of France. This was the longest cycle ride I have ever done. I camped every night and used map an compass to stay on track. Cycling gives me a real sense of freedom and independence that normal life doesnt - I think thats why I do it most of all. complete bike touring advice from a true expert here: http://www.bicycletouring101.com/TableOfContents.htm

Versailles Bike Tour - What's it Like? (Bike About Tours, France, Versailles Bike Tour)

13:22
Want to do a Versailles bike tour? He'res what to expect on a bike tour in Versailles with Bike About Tours. You can book here: http://bit.ly/BikeAboutToursJay and reference me for a heart-face sticker 😎❤️ Help me make better videos at http://patreon.com/jayswanson and then find me on the internet in all of the usual spots: http://twitter.com/jayonaboat http://instagram.com/jayswanson (me) http://bit.ly/ShirtOfTheMonth (merch) http://bit.ly/JaySwansonBooks (my books) http://bit.ly/CameraFour (Disposable Camera Four digital scans) Music by: DJ Quads If you want to go to Versailles, I really think you should do a bike tour as you'll see so much more of Versailles than you would on foot. Versailles spans over 2,000 acres and is a full enough day without walking between locations on the grounds. A bike tour of Versailles is a great way to get around quickly and see as much of the sites as possible with a guide who knows how to get around. As disclosed in the video, I used to work for Bike About Tours and do get a referral (but only if you let them know when you book/get a sticker from them in Paris). My name is Jay Swanson - I'm an American writer living in Paris on an artist visa and hoping to make the city of light my home base - at least for the foreseeable future. I write science-fiction and fantasy, vlog daily, and love pizza a little too much. FAQ: How long have you lived in France? On and off for over two years. What do you miss most about ho- NACHOS You're always talking about living on some ship. WHAT SHIP? - I made a "Draw My Life" video that explains a lot here: https://youtu.be/-MrvL37jTKM Where are you from originally? - Pullman, Washington - a small university/agricultural town near Idaho (and yes, the potatoes are amazing). What do you film with? - I currently film almost exclusively with my Samsung Galaxy S8: http://amzn.to/2lPKSpZ How do you get those shots where you're walking or running? - A Joby Gorillapod for smartphones, like this: http://amzn.to/2sXNIL3 You drop your phone a lot, how does it survive? - THIS CASE IS AMAZING: http://amzn.to/2hoxgTA (Galaxy S7) - http://amzn.to/2Dt08Bu (Galaxy S8) - http://amzn.to/2FxVliP (iPhone) What do you edit with? - Adobe Premiere - it's pretty much all I've ever used since high school. Aren't you ever freaked out by leaving your camera behind to film yourself? - Yep. But not too badly - I tend to be careful when I do. Why are you living in #Paris? - Because I've always wanted to; I feel at home here: https://youtu.be/4Vivf6MqMxQ A Versailles bike tour is a great way to go (totally put this here for SEO). But what are you doing there? - Living it up! https://youtu.be/ZW2RP--DO8Y Do you speak French? Oui. https://youtu.be/va1QjaHgij8 You talk a lot about the books you're working on, what are they about? - They're sci-fi (and fantasy) and I've got a decent pitch for you here: https://youtu.be/W2bKt4_Tp4E Do you make money off YouTube? - Ha, no. I wish. It took me over 500 videos to make my first $100 off adsense. I think it will slowly change, but VERY slowly. I really enjoy your videos, how can I support you? - The easiest and best way to support me is through Patreon, where you can pitch in as little as $1/mo to help me make better videos: http://patreon.com/jayswanson I don't trust this Patreon thing - what's your PayPal? - Here's a handy link! https://www.paypal.me/jayswanson I like PayPal in pink! - Here's my ko-fi if that's your thing (and coffee is your game): https://ko-fi.com/jayswanson But I want to send you something tangible! - I do have a wishlist on Amazon, though it's a bit complicated with the international shipping situation. This is the US one: http://amzn.to/2ykS9Ux And here's the French one: http://bit.ly/JaysFrenchWishList Can I come stay with you in Paris? - Have you seen my apartment? It's too small for me as it is! https://youtu.be/6t2qj3rdyX8 OK, but how do I use the Metro when I'm there? - I made a handy video for you: https://youtu.be/T0YS5si8bJs

My name is Ralf and I am addicted to bicycle touring :) On my fully loaded touring bicycle I travelled 2.747km from Riesa, Germany to Nice in France crossing the 10 highest passes of the Alps accumulating over 45.000m of altitude. I cycled in July and August when the passes were open and free from snow. The nights I spent mostly in my tent, sometimes I took cheap accomodations when I needed to rest or when I was in a city. I love bicycle touring and more videos like this will follow (sooner or later). Stay tuned. If you have questions, don't hesitate to write me, I'll answer. I hope you like this video !!

Cycling Tour de France 2010 Part 3

In part 3 of the Tour the France 2010, 3 stages are covered: • Stage 6: 9 July - Montargis to Gueugnon - 227.5 km (141 mi)- Flat stage • Stage 7: 10 July - Tournus to Station des Rousses - 165.5 km (103 mi)- Medium mountain stage • Stage 8: 11 July - Station des Rousses to Morzine-Avoriaz - 189 km (117 mi)- Mountain stage Enjoy these awesome stages, hit the like button if you like the videos and don't forget to smile :) The 2010 Tour de France was the 97th edition of the Tour de France cycle race, one of cycling's Grand Tours.

My poor exercise bike has been neglected since I bought my treadmill, but your new video makes me want to get back on it and do some cycling. The French Alps locations featured here are really lovely, and include an interesting, pleasantly contrasting, variety of scenery (a village, mountain stream, farm animals etc). I like the fact that the video is mostly tracking down one side of the road, where it would be natural to ride. And the flocks of sheep straggling along the road are delightful. As with all ISIS virtual walks, I found the pace of the cycling video to be just perfect and it really does make you feel as though you are coasting down the mountain on a bicycle. And, as always, the image quality and stability is excellent. I also enjoyed the country sounds - cowbells, running water, chickens, birds, sheep - which helped to draw my mind into the scene. Christine. Christine Edwards Review of the Virtual Cycle Rides-Through the French Alps Makes the Exercise bike FUN!, So you want to get fit, you've got an exercise bike but you're bored solid just doing it to music or watching TV? Ok, so here's the answer :-) Three different 20 minute+ rides through the French Alps , amazing beautiful scenery with the authentic sounds of nature around you ( even the sound of a bike !) .. The "rides" go at a very realistic speed so you really do have the effect of cycling down the actual roads - on the way you pass rivers, go through forests , encounter sheep etc. The whole thing is an excellent way of enlivening your exercise bike routines . For some reason Amazon uk is currently showing it as unavailable but you can buy it from amazon com, or just google naturedvd and get it from their website. Either way I guarantee you'll more than pleased with this DVD. mariopops "Andy Rogers" - SOLIHULL, WEST MIDLANDS United Kingdom Review of the Virtual Cycle Rides-Through the French Alps This may be the perfect cycling DVD, This may be the perfect indoor cycling DVD. You have a choice of workouts to suit your mood, or you can pedal through all three challenges like a hero. You can glide downhill through winding mountain passes and hear the wind whistle in your ears. But watch out for the sheep! Or you can crank it up and race over a long, flat linear route next to a rushing river of glacier water. This being the Alps, there are plenty of climbs, and that’s the part I like best, when I can increase the tension on the spin bike and go at a slower, but more arduous pace. As you approach the top of Mount Ventoux, a beautiful white monument rises like a tower over your shoulder. Dazzling elevations appear, and edgy glances over open space. Then, after that thigh-busting workout, you have the perfect cool down, as you glide down through the conquered valleys---with just enough views of plummeting precipices to keep you honest and on the road. What Do Pro Cycling Team Mechanics Do On Rest Days At The Tour De France 2016 ?

Wales Bike Tour and Wild Camping - Coast to Coast Adventure 4K

Route 8 cycle way is one of the hardest long distance cycle routes UK. Watch our self-guided bike tour through Wales as we cycle over mountains, alongside rivers and through beautiful forests. Our Wales wild camping adventure takes us from Cardiff on the south coast of Wales to Bangor on the North coast. This documentary film in 4K follows two friends, one beginner cycle tour adventurer called Luke and another experienced cycle tourist Chris as they navigate themselves along route 8. I came across this route on a UK cycle touring forum and purchased the maps from Sustrans. I would highly recommend this for cycling holidays in wales. I bought the Merino T-Shirt for Chris from Joe Merino, you can get the t-shirt below. Chris loves it and they have loads of colors, and because it is Merino you don't smell! https://www.joemerino.com/nl_nl/shirt-v-neck/ #BikeTour #BeardBrothers #WildCamping Below is some of the key cycle touring equipment that we used with links on where to buy them.
