When it comes to innerwear, NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade is now going 'Naked.' 'Dwyane believe it or not found us,' said Carole Hochman, CEO of Naked Brand Group. 'His wife brought him a pair of Naked underwear. He put it on and that’s what began the whole process. He put it on and took a selfie, sent it to his manager and said ‘Find this company’.' Naked today announced a deal for the 3-time NBA champion to lead the company’s 'Role Models' campaign. Wade will also join the Company's Advisory Board and serve as Creative Director for a signature collection of innerwear set to launch in 2016. 'I am very excited to partner with a brand that celebrates individuality and authenticity,' said Wade in a statement. 'What you wear underneath is the foundation for how you look and feel. Naked is taking inner-wear to the next level and I look forward to helping them build the brand and the business.' Shares of Naked Brand Group, which has a market value of just under $6 million, rose 2 cents to 14 cents, or 17%, at last check. Naked currently has a presence in a handful of high end retailers, most notably Nordstrom. The company’s underwear, which starts at two pair for $40 going up to $38 for its top of the line cotton spandex offering, is also available on the company’s own Web site and on HisRoom.com. 'By the end of the year we plan to be in all the major department stores because we are really now set up to service everybody,' said Hochman. It was an inauspicious start. The tiny, two-cylinder city car was notoriously labeled “the most unsafe car on the market” by the folks at Consumer Reports. But Subaru persevered, and while the little 360 shares little more than its horizontally opposed engine configuration with the brand’s current models, the 25-hp two-door remains an integral chapter in the story of Subaru’s eventual success in the U.S. market. In celebration of said success, Subaru is offering every vehicle it currently sells with a special 50th Anniversary Edition package. Each wears the same Heritage Blue paint, 50th Anniversary Edition badging, black interior upholstery with silver stitching, and contrasting silver seatbelts. Additionally, Subaru fits each model except the BRZ with package-specific wheels to distinguish the models from their run-of-the-mill counterparts.Subaru is limiting production of the entire series to just 6300. The rarest of the group is the WRX STI, of which 200 are being produced. It wears a price tag of $42,055, or $300 more than the WRX STI Limited on which it’s based. A slightly greater number of BRZ 50th-anniversary models—250 in total—will grace U.S. roads, each priced at $30,800, which is $1495 more than the BRZ Limited it stems from. Subaru is asking $36,355 for each of the 600 WRX 50th-anniversary models, which share their feature content with the $32,455 WRX Limited. Like Subaru’s sportier offerings, the more mundane Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, and Outback 50th Anniversary Edition models are based on upper-level trims and command a small premium over their non-anniversary-edition counterparts. Subaru is producing 1050 anniversary editions of each of these models.The Crosstrek is based on the 2.0i Limited and will set consumers back $30,955. The Impreza is also based on 2.0i Limited trim level and will consist of a mix of 500 sedans at $29,200, and 550 hatchbacks for $29,700. The Forester will offer 2.5i Touring-based anniversary editions (800) for $34,305, and an additional 250 with the 2.0XT powertrain for $37,305. Similarly, the Legacy and Outback will offer 50th-anniversary models with either four- or six-cylinder power (800 of the former, 250 of the latter). The four-cylinder Legacy is $32,350, while Outback 2.5i is $35,995. The six-cylinder Legacy stickers for $34,700 and the Outback 3.6R for $38,195.If you want to get in on the celebration, you’d better act fast because the 50th Anniversary Edition models are already on sale.
