01:04

When making travel arrangements, you can save a lot of money by staying in hostels. A stay in a hotel can be anywhere from $100-$400 per night depending on the brand and country you are visiting. A night stay in a hostel has a starting price of $5 a night if you opt for a Dorm Bed. Refugees Leaving the Safe Haven of Little Camp (Belgrade) With No Idea Where They Will Sleep Tonight

01:54
The area called Little Camp and No Border Hostel was given just 2hrs notice to move out by the Serbian Authorities. This little area in the run down part of the city near the Train Station was marked for demolition to make way for the new Water Front development. Police had come in earlier in the day to move the refugees on, and reports were that although they didn't beat any of the refugees, they were heavy handed and physically removed some of the refugees from the area. The area was a derelict waste land, out of the way of the local population and to me seemed a good place to have the refugees in one place and I guess out of the way of the local population. But after this eviction, the refugees scattered across the city making in my opinion the job of the city authorities much harder. Over all the Serbian authorities have been very good with the refugees, and continue to be, but this event wasn't the best moment for the Serbian authorities

In every oure journey the greatest extent may depend on the place where we will stay and sleep. The most beautiful city will get an ugly impression, if accommodation will be poor and ugly there where we will be stay , and the opposite !! Therefore, it is very important, and definitely not the same, where you will be staying. I, as owner guarantee you that my hostel just brighten your staying in Belgrade. Personally, I love to travel, and I was traveled all over the world. With that, I sincerely advise you and I guarantee you, that you will not regret if you choose Belcity Hostel.(In every sense) Do not be confused bicouse on the map looks like a hostel in not in the strict center ,because Slavia Square is actually very center of town, and from here to any point in the center will be not more then up to 20 - 30 minutes by walking. Freddy's Hostel

03:42
Welcome to Freddy's Hostel, or at least welcome to the website advertising Freddy's Hostel. You can virtually sleep here but we recommend you book a bed and stay at the actual hostel to enjoy a peek at what Tirana has to offer. Off the busy streets, Freddy's modern Hostel offers you a comfortable bed, (no bunk beds) friendly atmosphere with like minded tourists, cable TV, air conditioning and en suite bathrooms in all rooms, as well as WiFi internet throughout and a host you will tell your friends about for his kindness and knowledge of Albania's capital. Tirana itself is a rich myriad of kind and friendly people living in near history striving to catch up to, and keep up with the world. It is a great place to visit to experience life where everything is not go go go. You may even be lucky enough to experience power outages for a few hours during the day to assist the facilitation of this, participating in a true Albanian experience. Make the effort to interact and you will be rewarded with a wonderful cultural experience from a society of lovely people.

Belgrade Hostels

01:22
http://belgradeeye.com/belgrade-hostels/index.html As a business, hostels in Belgrade only started operating in the summer of 2005, and the offer has since expanded considerably. As everywhere, Belgrade hostels range from filthy train station sleepovers to cozy places where you can really relax for very little of your money. Some focus on youth and are meant for fun and parties, others are more chilled out and are perfect for getting some sleep and rest, and yet others cater for families or people who desire more privacy. At the moment we are still developing this section -- but very soon it will include really all hostels in Belgrade that can be booked online.

What its like to stay in a Hostel vs. Hotel - Military Spouse Journey, Navy PCS#2

10:07
Is there anyway to avoid ending up broke during/after your next move or adventure??? What is cheaper than staying at a traditional hotel Navy Lodge? I am exploring in depth the topic above during my Vlog series documenting this- my second cross-country military move. For this move I am trying out all sorts of accommodations ranging from $400 per night luxury hotels, to $500 per week AirBnB & $60 per night TeePee camping, to $30 per night Hostels. Watch along for my experience this week staying in a Hosteling International (HI) Hostel.

ALog 0001: Traveling on a Budget (The Balkans)

24:58
Traveling can be as cheap as you want it to be. Here are all the ways I travel on a budget while I journey through the Balkans. Subscribe and Check out my other travel videos! Blog | http://www.aperezvoyages.com Instagram | Aperezvoyages Facebook Page | https://www.facebook.com/aperezvoyages Snapchat : APerezVoyages Most people think and assume traveling is expensive. And when they see or meet someone who travels extensively without a job, they think they are spending a massive load of money. Or have a great job while they are traveling. The thing is, travel can be really cheap. It can be as cheap as you want it to be. The thing you may have to sacrifice is comfort and luxury. But in doing so, you find yourself having some incredibly rich experiences. In this video, I show how I've managed to save thousands and buy myself more time across the Balkans in Southern Europe. For starters, I've managed to accrue over 150,000 miles across many airlines miles programs paying only $6 for a flight to Europe. This is called travel hacking, where you strategically accrue many miles for flights and pay almost nothing to fly. As far as lodging goes, I've always aimed to use Couchsurfing first. Couchsurfing is basically the Facebook for travelers. You travel in another town ask for a place to stay, they welcome you in, you surf their couch to sleep, and you make yourself a friend in the process while learning about your destination faster. If that doesn't work, I chose from several different options. First is usually booking.com since it has the most options to choose from and most of the time you don't have to put down a credit card. Next is Hostelworld if there are hostels in to pay for a bed instead of a whole room. And lastly, Airbnb. I love Airbnb because the stays are all very unique and personal. It's like a home away from home. Then there is buying a tent and camping out if it's legal, or illegal :) Next is how to get around. No matter where you go in the world, there is always a means to get somewhere. There are always buses going somewhere and as much as I hate buses, they are always there. Next is my favorite travel option, Trains. I've always loved trains and just simply putting your bag away, sitting down, and watching the Earth go by while you ride on the tracks. There aren't in every single country you go to, but when there are trains, I'm all about it. My favorite option and something I have discovered in Romania is hitchhiking. Hitchhiking is common in Europe and people do it all around the world. You hit the edge of town, find a safe place on the side of the road and on ramp, and be patient. Next thing you know you are catching a ride with someone who you can chat with and who knows, have a beer with or make a lifelong friend. Hitchhiking has changed my views in travel because I now know that I can do whatever I want, without limiting myself to a not so awesome train and bus schedule. There have been very few times where I have been unlucky but many times where I have had incredible experiences. Eating local cuisine is a very important part of travel. But unfortunately, tourist traps ruin it for budget travelers since the prices to eat are incredibly unreasonable. That's why I usually walk around town to scope out whats affordable first. If I have a kitchen, I'll buy groceries. And if all that fails, then I will find a cheap restaurant. Currency exchange can be a hassle, especially if you are aware of the terrible rates that can cost too much. I have pin and chip technology on my miles accrual cards which are useful all over Europe. I earn miles in the process. When I acquire money, I use TD bank for large money withdrawals and only get charged a $3 ATM fee. For small conversions, I will go to an exchange shop and try to go to a place with a decent exchange rate. Lastly, when you travel on a budget so much, sometimes you may miss out on a popular tourist attraction. On my journey, I missed out on visiting the Hagia Sofia museum in Istanbul and renting a car to visit an abandoned building in Bulgaria. If you run into a situation where you are not sure if you want to spend more than a certain amount. Ask yourself, will I regret not doing this later? So you've figured out how to travel on a budget and it's all working out for you. But one last thing you need to do and never forget. Hitchhiking through Balkans | Autostopem przez Bałkany

07:53
Two weeks of journey in 8 minutes. Two Polish students with one idea to see at least a little piece of big world. And it all went better than they ever imagined :) Balkans are paradise and people there are angels! In here we want to say special thans to people who made this trip so awesome, in order of 'appearance': - Polish truck driver who let us sleep in his big fridge (thanks God it was powered off) and made us delicious pancakes for breakfast :) - Greek truck driver who gave us delicious grapes and took us from Megara to Kefalovriso - Hera who told us a lot about her beautiful country and chat was so good that we forgot to take photos :) - Lili and her son that are in our video! - Two guys from Albania who took us to Durres - Incredibly good marriage who showed us airport in Tirane and told many interesting things and legends about Albania and took us to cosmos! (customs :D) - Group of people from www.hikingmontenegro.com who are awesome and guides who told us a lot about Montenegro - Horses and donkey near to Virpazar - Edin who drove us to Sutomore - Russian couple who took us to Petrovac - Another Russian couple, Alexander and his wife from Moscow :) - Vladimir who took us from Kotor to Lipci :) - Two Serbian men who took us in spite of lack of space to Niksic - PE teacher who drove us safely through crazy roads to Zabljak - Great hosts of Mlinski Potok Camp in Zabljak thanks to whom we felt like home - Serbian engineer who drove us to Prijepole - Goran who drove us with his truck through serpentines of Serbian roads and gave us consolidation when we doubted about passing Serbia-Hungary border - Mirko, personal trainer from Montenegro who took us to Belgrade - Best family in the world. People who made that our journey seemed too good to be true. They took us from highway to their restoran Fontana and feed us with serbian food, didnt want to hear about taking money from us. They showed to us way to go to get out from Belgrade. And gave us chocolate. We still don't know what to say. If you are ever in Belgrade, please, go to Fontana restoran in Vidikovac, ul. Patrijarha Joanikija 13c, order food and say greeting from us. These people are walking angels. - And here we meet Esin (from Shkoder, Albania). Another angel on our way. He took us from Belgrade through Hungary to Slovakia where we met Polish car and went straight to Poland. Thanks to him we listened to albanian music, had great time, could sleep, crossed freaky border with Hungary and were home very fast. And we had opportunity to drive in brand new A class mercedes :D - Polish couple from Kraków who took us to railway station in Katowice. As you can see, we have huge debt of good and we don't know if we'll be ever able to pay it. I hope you enjoyed our video! St. Christopher's Hostel - Paris Canal - 6 Bed Room

00:54
While in Paris i stayed at St. Christophers Hostel - Canal for two nights. The room was nice and clean. I opted to pay a bit more for a 6 bed dorm room with ensuite bathroom. The hostel itself is a bit of a party hostel with a busy bar and restaurant. No kitchen but a discount on food at the bar. About a 10 minute walk from 2 metro stations.

When it comes to Airbnb vs Hostels for traveling, I would have to say I am team Airbnb after this experience!
