In order to Lucid Dream, you need to get yourself into the REM cycle of sleep, preferably the longest one which starts around 6 hours into your sleep. Once there, you can perform a Lucid Dream Induction Technique to increase your chances of having your first lucid dream. Easy Lucid Dreaming is only one step away now! How to Lucid Dream in 5 Minutes: But wait, it's a 9 minute video!? How can this be How to Lucid Dream in 5 Minutes? Is this clickbait? No. Once you're ready and set and awake during an REM cycle, the method for how to Lucid Dream itself will actually only take 2-3 minutes, so you'll be Lucid Dreaming in no time. We'll just call it 5 just in case it takes you a little longer to fall back asleep. How to Lucid Dream for Beginners: So, is there some difference if you're trying to learn how to Lucid Dream for Beginners? Well yes, beginners often overcomplicate Lucid Dreaming by trying harder methods like WILD or by using things like Binaural Beats that simply don't work for a lot of people. By using the technique outlined in this video (which is a variation of the MILD technique), which is really for easy Lucid Dreaming, you'll learn how to Lucid Dream a lot quicker. Here is the transcript: "In order to have a fully conscious out of body experience.. You need to find a way to put your body asleep while you keep your mind awake. One of the easiest ways that I've found to make progress towards the mind awake/body asleep state... Is by counting my breaths upon each exhale and relaxing more and more. It goes a little like this... You simply breathe in.. Then you breathe out and count to 1.. Also while your breathing out remember to relax more and more.. Then you breathe in and you breathe out , count to 2 and again relax more .. Rinse and repeat this process.. However.. If you happen to lose count for any reason at all then start over at 1. Once you are barely able to count very far then you know you are about to fall asleep!! At some point you might realize it's really hard to count past maybe 15 or 10 or even 5... Use this as a trigger to let you know that you are getting very close to the mind awake/body asleep border. Basically all you're doing is counting higher each time you exhale.. What this does is keeps your mind awake by counting and puts your body to sleep by relaxing. You might be able to make this exercise even more effective by starting the relaxation from head to toe.. For example for your first relaxing exhale you can relax your neck muscles, maybe even tighten them and relax them.. And on your next exhale you can do your shoulders by tightening them and relaxing them.. Then you can tighten up the muscles at the base of your neck or upper back for your third exhale and so forth... The most important thing is to make sure you don't fall asleep.. So when you realize pretty hard to get past counting to 10 exhales.. You may want to start doing your favorite technique.. Here is just one of thousands of techniques that you can try when you're at this point.. Trying to visualize your room as if you were laying there with your eyes open.. But don't actually open your eyes.. Now pick something in your room to focus on. Pick something that has intricate details or features that are too small to see from where you would be. Like some lettering on the side of the soda can.. All you need to do is try to focus harder to read the words or focus harder to see the intricate details.. This will begin to create what I call an astral pressure, or at least it's done this for me several times in the past. Focusing harder on something in my visualization or doing this when I can suddenly see through my eyelids.. somehow pulls me closer to whatever I'm focusing on.. And this pulling feeling often originates at the top of my neck with tingling and vibrations. I'll end this by saying that if you're having trouble flying in the astral realm this is a great way to propel yourself forward and take flight. Good luck! Do you often wake up between 3 am - 5 am? If you wake up at the same time every night, it could be because your body is trying to send you a message. Yes, there is anecdotal evidence stating that waking up at certain times during the night is actually a symptom of something spiritual. But, according to the ancient Chinese Medicine Body Clock, energy runs through a different meridian of your body at different times of day. These meridians are like channels which send energy to different organs in order to promote health and vitality. When there is a blockage in these channels however, energy cannot pass through, causing stagnation or a buildup of energy. This can then disturb your sleep and wake you up. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) if you wake up at the same time every night, it could indicate a sign of weakness in the corresponding meridian or organ. The body, mind and emotions are inseparable in TCM - meaning that if you have disharmony in your physical body, it is tied to your emotional state. For example, if you often wake up between 3 am - 5 am, it’s a sign that energies in that very corresponding part of your body are blocked and weak due to your neglect. What Happens To Your Body And Brain If You Don't Get Sleep | The Human Body

Sleep expert Matthew Walker breaks down the many effects of sleep deprivation on your brain and body. Following is the transcript of the video: Matthew Walker: My name is Matthew Walker, I am a professor of neuroscience and psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, and I am the author of the book "Why We Sleep." We certainly know that a lack of sleep will actually prevent your brain from being able to initially make new memories, so it's almost as though without sleep the memory inbox of the brain shuts down and you can't commit new experiences to memory. So those new incoming informational emails are just bounced, and you end up feeling as though you're amnesiac. You can't essentially make and create those new memories. We also know that a lack of sleep will lead to an increased development of a toxic protein in the brain that is called beta amyloid and that is associated with Alzheimer's disease because it is during deep sleep at night when a sewage system within the brain actually kicks in to high gear and it starts to wash away this toxic protein, beta amyloid. So if you're not getting enough sleep each and every night, more of that Alzheimer's-related protein will build up. The more protein that builds up, the greater your risk of going on to develop dementia in later life. What are the effects of sleep deprivation on the body? Well, there are many different effects. Firstly, we know that sleep deprivation affects the reproductive system. We know that men who are sleeping just five to six hours a night have a level of testosterone which is that of someone ten years their senior. So a lack of sleep will age you by almost a decade in terms of that aspect of virility and wellness. We also know that a lack of sleep impacts your immune system. So after just one night of four to five hours of sleep, there is a 70% reduction in critical anticancer-fighting immune cells called natural killer cells. And that's the reason that we know that short sleep duration predicts your risk for developing numerous forms of cancer. And that list currently includes cancer of the bowel, cancer of the prostate, as well as cancer of the breast. In fact, the link between a lack of sleep and cancer is now so strong that recently the World Health Organization decided to classify any form of nighttime shift work as a probable carcinogen. So in other words, jobs that may induce cancer because of a disruption of your sleep rate rhythms. We also know that a lack of sleep impacts your cardiovascular system because it is during deep sleep at night that you receive this most wonderful form of effectively blood pressure medication. Your heart rate drops, your blood pressure goes down. If you're not getting sufficient sleep, you're not getting that reboot of the cardiovascular system, so your blood pressure rises. You have, if you're getting six hours of sleep or less, a 200% increased risk of having a fatal heart attack or stroke in your lifetime. There is a global experiment that is performed on 1.6 billion people twice a year and it's called daylight saving time. And we know that in the spring, when we lose one hour of sleep, we see a subsequent 24% increase in heart attacks the following day. Another question, perhaps, is what is the recycle rate of a human being? How long can we actually last without sleep before we start to see declines in your brain function or even impairments within your body? And the answer seems to be about 16 hours of wakefulness. Once you get past 16 hours of being awake, that's when we start to see mental deterioration and physiological deterioration in the body. We know that after you've been awake for 19 or 20 hours, your mental capacity is so impaired that you would be as deficient as someone who was legally drunk behind the wheel of a car. So if you were to ask me what is the recycle rate of a human being, it does seem to be about 16 hours and we need about eight hours of sleep to repair the damage of wakefulness. A tiny pet bunny rabbit named Pipkin is sleeping and dreaming about being attacked by bees! He is a free roam rabbit who likes dreaming about eating, digging, and running. When he is dreaming and you put food near him, he starts to lick his lips and eat the food in his dream. This time, unfortunately, the sleeping rabbit dreams about attacking bees! Do rabbits do sleep with their eyes open? Yes, sometimes rabbits do! :) Do animals have nightmares? Yes, they do, unfortunately. If we realized what was happening sooner, we would have woken the rabbit up. Is it good to wake someone up if they are having a nightmare? Yes, we think it is. Sometimes the rabbit has been seen eating, digging, and running while he's asleep. Obviously this means that in his dream, the rabbit was also eating, digging, and running. Sometimes the rabbit even goes to the bathroom (makes a poop) in his dreams. Please no, Pipkin! When the bunny rabbit really starts dreaming, like REM sleep, the rabbit tilts his head back all of the way, like you saw at the beginning. The rabbit will then often start to run. Then the rabbit starts to chew, or to eat something - almost like the rabbit ran over to a delicious fruit or vegetables and starting eating. Here, whatever he was eating made him shake his head. Imagine that flash of something in your peripheral lasting longer than a moment, lasting minutes even. Once I thought there was a man standing beside and just a bit behind me. I had assumed it was my brother, and even started talking to him as I continued what I was working on, not looking at him directly. When he didn't respond I looked up and saw there was no one there. It is said that you can see and communicate with spirits through dreams, and if you are dreaming while awake, are you just seeing the ghosts that are always there, but you normally cannot see? Let your wealth manifest itself during the hours of your sleep. While your sleeping let your subconscious mind be hard at work to create a nurturing environment to support all the wishes that you desire. It will pave the way for all the future wealth and happiness in your life. How to follow with my video: I am providing a step by step guide for the most effective method of using my instructional video. 1. Find a comfortable location in the house. It can be a comfortable chair, your bed any location. Relax and calm your body. Clear your mind from all distractions. The best time for listening to this video should be prior to going to sleep or after a nap. As you are relaxed, take deep breaths and gradually you will realize that you are falling in deep sleep. As you drift off into slumber your subconscious mind gets activated. Try to visualize your strongest desires, try to figure what your heart really wants. 2. Now that you have visualized your desires and made sure you are aware of your wishes in life you should move on to the next step. Imagine your life with your dreams coming true. Imagine how your current life will look like once you have achieved all your dreams, fulfilled all your wishes. Close your eyes and inhale slowly. While inhaling make sure you are inhaling from your stomach. Be aware of all the parts of your body, be aware of your body. Let your whole body breathe. Keep the breath within you for a while and slowly exhale. Make sure you are visualizing the changes happening to your life with all the wealth in your life. How will your room look like with all the wealth in the world? How will your body look like with you consuming all the richest food in the world, all the best quality of food? Make sure you imagine living this life – how do you want your current life to look like with all the dreams in your life is fulfilled. The initial 10 minutes of visualization is vital to your success. Make sure you are well concentrated during those initial 10 mins. After that, as your eyes get heavy you can wander off to sleep. Don’t worry your subconscious mind is there working for you. Garnering all the positive energy for you. My music makes use of a technology called binaural beats. With the use of binaural beats, your mind is stimulated, and all the creative powers of the mind are unlocked. The mind is now aware of all the problems in your life and is activated to solve them all. But it is not an instant process. Usually, it takes about 7 mins to bring your mind into this stasis state with the external stimulus of my audio. After that let your mind listen to this audio for another 15-20 mins to experience the benefits of the process. I have started this channel with the motive of helping people be it to help them recover an ailment or to help them go ahead in life. Info: Dreams are successions of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep. The content and purpose of dreams are not definitively understood, though they have been a topic of scientific speculation, as well as a subject of philosophical and religious interest, throughout recorded history. The scientific study of dreams is called oneirology. Dreams mainly occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep—when brain activity is high and resembles that of being awake. REM sleep is revealed by continuous movements of the eyes during sleep. At times, dreams may occur during other stages of sleep. However, these dreams tend to be much less vivid or memorable. Dreams can last for a few seconds, or as long as twenty minutes. People are more likely to remember the dream if they are awakened during the REM phase. The average person has about 3 to 5 dreams per night, but some may have up to 7 dreams in one night. The dreams tend to last longer as the night progresses. During a full 8-hour night sleep, two hours of it is spent dreaming. Dreams have been seen as a connection to the unconscious. They range from normal and ordinary to overly surreal and bizarre. Dreams can have varying natures, such as frightening, exciting, magical, melancholic, adventurous, or sexual. The events in dreams are generally outside the control of the dreamer, with the exception of lucid dreaming, where the dreamer is self-aware. Dreams can at times make a creative thought occur to the person or give a sense of inspiration. Opinions about the meaning of dreams have varied and shifted through time and culture. Dream interpretations date back to 5000-4000 BC. The earliest recorded dreams were acquired from materials dating back approximately 5,000 years, in Mesopotamia, where they were documented on clay tablets. In the Greek and Roman periods, the people believed that dreams were direct messages from the gods, or from the dead and that they predicted the future. Some cultures practiced dream incubation with the intention of cultivating dreams that are prophetic. Lucid dreaming is the conscious perception of one's state while dreaming. In this state the dreamer may often (but not always) have some degree of control over their own actions within the dream or even the characters and the environment of the dream. Dream control has been reported to improve with practiced deliberate lucid dreaming, but the ability to control aspects of the dream is not necessary for a dream to qualify as "lucid" — a lucid dream is any dream during which the dreamer knows they are dreaming.The occurrence of lucid dreaming has been scientifically verified. Oneironaut is a term sometimes used for those who lucidly dream. A nightmare is an unpleasant dream that can cause a strong negative emotional response from the mind, typically fear or horror, but also despair, anxiety and great sadness. The dream may contain situations of danger, discomfort, psychological or physical terror. Sufferers usually awaken in a state of distress and may be unable to return to sleep for a prolonged period of time. Nightmares can have physical causes such as sleeping in an uncomfortable or awkward position, having a fever, or psychological causes such as stress and anxiety. Eating before going to sleep, which triggers an increase in the body's metabolism and brain activity, is a potential stimulus for nightmares. Recurrent nightmares that can interfere with sleeping patterns and cause insomnia may require medical help.

Lucid Dream Experience - Lucid Dreaming And The Creating Mind

In this video I will be going over my lucid dreaming experience, and talking about how I actually started lucid dreaming. I started lucid dreaming in 2016 by accident. I would pick my mother up from work around 7:30 AM and be back in bed by 8 AM. It was in this half awake half asleep state that I began to lucid dream. At first the lucid dreams were short as I would alarm myself as soon as I realized that I was lucid, forcing myself to wake up. Over time I was able to stay in the dream for longer periods of time and explore the dream world while being 100% conscious that I was in a dream. An interesting observation that I noticed from my lucid dreaming experience was how powerful the mind truly is. The mind has got the faculties to create whole worlds and people with stories and mannerisms. The minds creating abilities are akin to the cinematic flair of big blockbuster movies. Another interesting question that i have been considering is whether the subconscious mind can be directly influenced while in this lucid state. It is very clear that our dreams harbor some sort of bridge between our conscious and subconscious minds. Perhaps we can use lucid dreaming as a way to strategically change our core beliefs. This is just a theory, however, is something I will be looking into in the future. My quick tips for lucid dreaming: I have only been able to lucid dream during the morning. I advise you set your alarm to wake you up mid-sleep. Set a message that says 'Lucid' on your phone. Go back to sleep but with the intention of lucid dreaming, try keep your mind awake for as long as possible. Once in the lucid dream, try not to scare yourself! Stay calm and enjoy the ride.
