Marines | Poolee Workout

02:05
The Poolees from Madison Heights (Detroit) participate in Weekly Warrior Training. While many young Marine Corps hopefuls believe that they can walk into a recruiter’s office and automatically be signed up and shipped out to boot camp, such is often not the case. Sometimes, recruiters and recruiting commands may have to reserve positions for recruits for basic training. The Delayed Entry Program, also known as the Delayed Enlistment Program, incorporates recruits into the inactive reserves and includes an agreement to report for active duty, most often called “shipping out to boot camp”, at a specific date in the future. This timeframe may be anywhere from several days to several weeks, to several months. It should be noted by recruits that signing a delayed entry program is a contract and is legally binding. As with any other recruit, certain requirements need to be met prior to being shipped out. These may include but are not limited to: Recruits must be at least 17 years old Recruits must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent diploma Recruits must pass a physical examination Recruits are also required to pass intellectual tests Recruits should also know that being placed on a waiting list in the delayed entry program does not count toward military service, and does not generate military pay or benefits. Many hopeful Marines who are placed in a delayed entry program make a good use of their time to increase physical strength and stamina as well as to decide what job or position they might be interested in so that when they are called to active duty, goals and expectations may be met. - Shot with a Canon 5D Mark IV - I do not own the music to this video

Ghost Chilli Pepper | Ghost Pepper Challenge

05:59
Me and my roommate ordered some Ghost Peppers on Amazon that were imported from South Africa and it only cost us approximately 7.00$. One of the worlds hottest natural peppers; three times hotter than a Habanero Pepper. We got a bunch of our buddies to try them with us. "THIS WAS A BAD IDEA" Information on Ghost Pepper: Ghost peppers go by many names and are widely known as Bhut Jolokia or Naga chilli. They were declared the hottest chilli pepper in the world by Guinness World Records in 2007 reaching over 1 million Scoville Heat Units (about 1,041,427 SHU) and can hit over 900 times hotter than Tabasco sauce, but they have recently been outdone by two other types of chilli: the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion in 2012 and the Carolina Reaper in 2013. The ghost is an interspecies hybrid of the C. chinense and C. frutescens genes. It is believed the Ghost Pepper first originated in India; locals said the name comes from when you eat it, you feel like you’re dying of the burn. It’s also suggested that the name comes from cutting the pepper in half and rubbing it over the frying pan, discarding the body of the chilli and leaving only the ghost of the pepper. There is also the idea that it’s name Naga originates from the ferocious Naga warriors who inhabited the plains of Nagaland. The Ghost Pepper wasn’t even introduced to the Western world until sometime in 2000, when it quickly gained light for being hotter than the Red Savina Habanero, which at that time was thought to be the spiciest. Ghost Pepper plants have green stems and leafs with red, yellow, green or even chocolate bodies (with red being the most common.) When we grew our ghost pepper plant we ended up with hundreds of small red chillies which were blazing in heat! The pods appear wrinkled and may look unappealing to someone who doesn’t know what they’re touching because of the often rough and uneven surface. When it comes to handling Ghost Peppers, preparation is nothing to joke about (trust us, we know!) They are one of the hottest chillies about and getting even a smidgen in your eye or any other sensitive body part will result in excruciating pain! It might seem obvious but even we’ve forgotten to be careful around them before. Here’s a few tips for when you’re using ghost peppers: Wear gloves. The inner parts of the chilli really shouldn’t be touched with your hands. It shouldn’t burn unless you’ve got a cut or sensitive skin but no matter how much you wash your hands, if you touch your eye later, it’s going to burn! Don’t breath in the peppers when cooking. Any pepper gives off a strong chilli burn when cooking but ghost’s are particularly mean. We also had an issue attempting to make dried ghost pepper flakes too and sent ghost dust into the air… not a good idea. Stand away from the pot and don’t be too close when you cut them, it will burn your eyes, mouth, and nose. Article: http://www.thechilligeeks.com/ghost-pepper/

The Steelers lost their most recent championship appearance, Super Bowl XLV, on February 6, 2011. The Steelers were founded as the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 8, 1933, by Art Rooney, taking its original name from the baseball team of the same name, as was common practice for NFL teams at the time.[3] To distinguish them from the baseball team, local media took to calling the football team the Rooneymen, an unofficial nickname which persisted for decades after the team adopted its current nickname. The ownership of the Steelers has remained within the Rooney family since its founding.[4] The current owner is Art's son, Dan Rooney, who has given much control of the franchise to his son Art Rooney II. Long one of the NFL's flagship teams,[5] the Steelers enjoy a large, widespread fanbase nicknamed Steeler Nation.[6] The Steelers currently play their home games at Heinz Field on Pittsburgh's North Side in the North Shore neighborhood, which also hosts the University of Pittsburgh Panthers. Built in 2001, the stadium replaced Three Rivers Stadium which hosted the Steelers for 31 seasons. Prior to Three Rivers, the Steelers had played their games in Pitt Stadium and Forbes Field.
